I think you are a sceptic. Sony TV, Sony Sab and Colors are the frontline GECs. The comment is made with regard to Hindi movie channels where Disney/Star has started to dominate, Zee is still going strong, but Sony is quickly unravelling and Viacom has already given up.

MUMBAI: iTV Network has discontinued its Punjabi entertainment channel P Plus just over a year after launching it in February 2019.

Direct to home (DTH) operator Airtel Digital TV has informed its subscribers that the channel has been discontinued by the broadcaster. P Plus was available on channel no. 558 on the DTH platform. It was a free to air (FTA) channel.

Tomorrow's schedule of Colors Cineplex has more bollywood movies and just 2 dubbed ones, refreshing change and hope more good news is up ahead. In coming months all the new deals for satellite rights and even sony viacom merger might come into effect so we can get a bollywood centric channel from them around same time

As expected Star has ruined UTV HD and Disney International HD. They stopped airing movies form UTV studio's movies on UTV HD. And moving popular shows like Hanna Montana and Wizards of the Waverly Place to early morning slot. These better be on Hotstar.

Finally after more than 3 years audio quality issue of Vh1 SD rectified, now seeing songs on the channel is a good experience . Had complained to them umpteen no of times but outcome was nil , happy that somehow someone looked in it

Because of the delay in NTO 2.0, existing channels are allowed to shut down (only from Sony network), but new channels are not allowed to launch or change their plan.

We don't know if Star World Premiere HD really wanted to shut down because the plan (to discontinue it on TS) was cancelled and it is still running. Everything from Disney is stuck or postponed except the rebranding of Star Gold and Star Gold 2.

Switched to Rajya Sabha TV for good. I have been watching the 9 pm news since the beginning of the week. I have never been more satisfied. They don't propagate you despite being state run tv. They use politically correct language respecting your political views. This is the best part, they cover important news from throughout the country and world news within 30 minutes.
