@dino29 bro. What was so special about Discovery Jeet? I will have Discovery ID over Jeet anyday. Same is the case of Nat Geo Music. It kept on playing same songs every day on repeat until it's shutdown. It never had a big library. This is why it never ads.

Jeet had nice shows but somehow channel failed to get ratings, ofcourse Investigation Discovery is a good channel.... I wanted both to remain on air

Nat Geo Music had decent music library and above it focused on Indie / Independent music artists which was its uniqueness. It was a niche channel but quite worked well for its audience

Some great channels which eventually got shut down in India

Many of these channels were never added on Tata Sky, and/or were exclusive to Airtel Digital TV:

• BIG CBS Prime
• BIG CBS Love
• BIG CBS Spark
• ITV Granada/Choice
• Hallmark TV (got licence but was available only on few cable networks)
• Travel Trendz
• Trace Sports Stars
• Trace Urban (AFAIK)

I remember which channels were added on TS and even their LCN numbers. For instance MGM, TCM and Lumiere Movies were on 355, 357 and 359 respectively.

HBO, HBO Hits, Channel V, Sony Le Plex HD, Sony Mix were indeed good channels.

Sony Mix would cater Bollywood movie songs of all genres. The classic movie songs played/telecasted on Sony Mix during mornings is unforgettable.

On the other hand, Channel V was a good youth channel and shutting a classic channel (24 years old when it was shut down) was really a bad decision.

Sahara One and Imagine TV lost their position to other GECs. Colors TV overtook both the channels though Sahara One was launched way earlier.

@dino29 bro, @Sushruth.V.H. bro even Sony Rox HD was a good HD Music Channel.

It was the only Music HD Channel that was available on Airtel DTH. Still waiting for replacement i.e. MTV Beats HD from airtel.

Bro just one correction -Sahara One & filmy channel are still there in my hathway cable here though agree its availability might have reduced in most cable or DTH. sahara one is airing its old programs.

Adding Sony ROX HD to the list. It was indeed a good music channel with amazing picture and audio quality. Not sure why Sony stepped out from music genre even after doing quite good.
