RE: What is blind scan ?

@Sarkar,
Thanks for the info.
Hope "Blind scan" is same as "Smart Scan".
By the way what does this "Blind/Smart scan" do ? and why is it essential for a Set Top Box ?
What are the disadvantages of not having Blind Scan in a STB ?
Does it mean that a Satellite Receiver with Blind scan has all transponders of all satellites already fed into it ?

There are two scan. Auto scan and Blind scan.

In auto scan receiver only scan freqs which are already stored in receiver memory(manufacturer stores most transponder freq in memory) whereas in Blind scan receiver scan all possible freq :k

Thanks for info on Blind scan.
Now we need confirmation from some Dish master whether "Blind Scan" and "Smart Scan" are same or not .

RE: Tracking satellite azimuth using a compass

Only Compass will not work properly.
Use SATELLITE DIRECTOR Android App.
Your phone Should have built in Electronic Compass. Calibrate the Compass, Activate GPS on Phone, Launch Satellite Director App.

Now, First is GPS Signal, 2nd is Satellite. Here you choose ur desired Satellite, Now click DIRECTOR Tab.

Move your LNB Arm using Cyan icon visible on your Phone Camera using the App.

It took only 2 min for me to track ABS 2 AND EUTELSAT 70B on 75cm d2h dish.

RE: Tracking satellite azimuth using a compass

For my location
ABS 2. @75E
Azimuth 216¤ True North
(Here Compass and Cyan Line will help you to move ur dish in left or right.

Elevation 56.04 *
(You need to adjust Up and Down of dish to this Value)

Webpage with all C & Ku updates

If possible then please make a webpage with all the C and Ku satellites frequency updates as it is quite difficult to keep up with each an every update post here.

You can make it in Table form and mention name of each contributor in front of his/her update.

Hope Admin will look in to this.

Thanks
