Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings from Tata Sky.

This has reference to your email dated 4th Feb 13 addressed to our Chief Executive Officer, regarding addition of more Channels on Tata Sky Platform.

Thank you for your mail. Please be assured that everything we have done has been aimed at maximizing the benefit to our subscribers.

You might be aware that the capacity available on all DTH platforms in the country is severely constrained by Satellite availability. There are more than 500 licensed channels in different languages but no more than 200 or so are carried on DTH services.

We also would like to assure you that we are working with ISRO to get more satellite capacity and as soon as this becomes available we will enhance the service by removing any temporary adjustments and adding several more channels to enrich what is available to our subscribers. So please bear with us. Unfortunately, we are not in a position today to give you a timeline for this enhancement.

We hope you now have a better perspective on the issue.

This simply means that Tata Sky has been trying their best from last 2-3 years and will keep trying its best in time to come. There is no hope of gsat 10 availability is quick time. So if you like Tata Sky stay with them, if you want more channels, especially HD channels, move on and come back to Tata sky when they launch channels.

I appreciate them for their transparent behaviour, but they have to take this blame that if every other DTH has been able to move to foriegn satellite then why can't tata sky. Surely there has been issue in them managing things. Reason is that in today's period 3 yrs of patience is not possible to have for anyone. So it is Tata Sky's fault to say the least.

tata sky has bad luck interms of getting transponder space that is bcoz tata sky booked extra tp's in 2007 but still have not got them as fiorst gsat 10 launch got delayed by over 3 years and now it sems gsat 10 has failed. so guys move to videocon d2h, its the best as it adds all chs demaned by customers and all new popular chs come on videocon d2h first.
tata sky team has poor planners leading their team and they justkeep waiting for one option and never keep second option to execute if option 1 fails like it hapened with gsat 10. bad luck of tata sky will continue and customers will suffer as always

Tweet @haritnagpal and @tatasky & threat them that we are going to disconnect our tata sky if no channel addition confirmation within 15 days. tweet in large numbers to pressurize them and it may be possible that they give some news or statement about channel addition after seeing this kind of anger from existing customers.

This isn't the solution.
80% of their customers don't know how to tweet or mail or don't care about new channels.So nothing going to happen.lol
If you tweet,you will get the stanard copypaste reply or any false commitment.:no

Time has come to close this thread....
I think is useless discussing/speculating abt GSAT anymore, u'll end up wasting ur own time.

Move to some other DTH now.....
"dikhawe pe na jaye apni akal lagaye"...... thats it.
