its been 6 months since the launch happenned..there is no news from ISRO end and Tata sky end...looks like this satellite is big failure..

Yes It is Biggest Failure on the Part of ISRO and Tata Sky & truth is that tata sky is not interested in addition of channels because their sales are good even after less number of channels & poor quality.

yes tata sky is least interested as their sales are good but jst wait for sometime, slowly people have started loosing faith in them and gradually all customers will loose faith

among all opreraors only videocon d2h is functioning properly , all other ops have one problem or the other. videocon d2h will come up with great software, hardware in few months and then all other operators will see who is the greatest dth of all

I already made decision of moving out. My Mega subscription ends on April 17 2013. If they add channels , its fine. otherwise no second thought. I will move out.

This has reference to your email dated 7th Mar 13 addressed to our Nodal Officer, regarding addition of more channels on Tata Sky.
Thank you for your mail. Please be assured that everything we have done hasbeen aimed at maximizing the benefit to our subscribers.
You might be aware that the capacity available on all DTH platforms in the country is severely constrained by Satellite availability. There aremore than 500 licensed channels in different languages but no more than 200 or so are carried on DTH services.
We also would like to assure you that we are working with ISRO to get more satellite capacity and as soon as this becomes available we will enhance the service by removing any temporary adjustments and adding several more channels to enrich what is available to oursubscribers. So please bear with us. Unfortunately, we are not in a position today to give you a timeline for this enhancement.
We hope you now have a better perspective on the issue.
