IndiaCast inks deal with iStream.com for online content

IndiaCast, which distributes channels such as Colors, MTV and CNBC TV18 among others, has inked a multi-licensing deal with online television service provider iStream.com. The agreement will give iStream.com access to content from the channels distributed by IndiaCast for its streaming and video-on-demand services online and for Internet-enabled devices including smart phones and tablets.

Anuj Gandhi, Group Chief Executive Officer of IndiaCast said, “With the digital space becoming more mainstream and evolving rapidly it is imperative for us to take our content from television to online and give access to our viewers across all platforms. This partnership with iStream will help us further our connect with the audience living online.”

IndiaCast drives domestic and international channel distribution, placement services and content syndication for TV18, Viacom18, A+E Networks, TV18 and the ETV channels. It distributes 26 channels from these media houses across platforms including cable, DTH, IPTV, HITS and MMDS. It also distributes Sun Network channels and Disney channels in Hindi speaking markets across markets.
