Many are discussing ESPN as the American company that is going to bid for the IPL. That is my wish too. But the chances are slim. First of all, there is no media house in India called ESPN india. Media giants such as Amazon Prime, Viacom and Sony Pictures are also in the fray. Currently it is the highest grossing event according to Star Sports. So they'll play to the maximum not to give up. So expect a great bidding war ...

No Watch Match till Byjus Cricket Live End, they are Mentioned ICC T20 World Cup A Star Sports Production
Byju cricket Live is star sports own programme. So it is showing.
But match live feed are produced by sunset vine for icc.
All other world cup produced by sunset vine for icc but this two by sunset vine fir star sports. This is the difference.

BCCI/ICC/Star Sports/Sony always hire a company to do the job.
Every T20 World Cup match Post presentation ceremony end they airing same As A Star Sports Production for ICC, sorry that Below snap quality not Good

Our expectation is that the IPL media rights will jump to Rs 90-100 crore per match. The number of matches will also go up to 74 from 60 matches. We expect the IPL media rights value to be closer to $5 billion because 74 matches multiplied by Rs 100 crore is close to Rs 7400 crore which is close to $1 billion per annum and for a five-year period it could be close to $5 billion. The value will be anywhere between $4-5 billion,” Santosh averred.

RPSG Ventures will cut down its losses, while CVC Capital might just break-even if the rights value doubles from $2.5 billion that Star is paying. “BCCI's revenue is Rs 4000-4500 crore per season, which is basically the central pool comprising media rights and sponsorships. Half of that gets distributed among eight teams. Each team is getting Rs 250-275 crore per annum as their share of central pool revenue. Next year, this kitty will become smaller as the central pool will be divided among 10 teams.”

He continued, “If we are talking about a 50% increase in per match value, this Rs 275 crore will become Rs 400 crore. If it doubles, we are talking about Rs 500 crore of revenue just from the central pool to each of the franchises. RPSG Group is paying Rs 7000 crore which is Rs 700 crore per annum and if they get Rs 400-500 crore from central, they will have to shell just Rs 200-300 crore per annum. This is excluding team sponsorships and gate revenue.”

This will be the last cycle where media rights may see an exorbitant increase in value. If the media houses are smart enough, they would definitely gauge by the fact that viewership numbers declined towards the end of the second phase of the IPL at UAE. Viewers are experiencing cricket 'burnout' with the excessive amount of matches that are being played these days. The excitement to watch matches which was there in the 90s & 2000s has disappeared. AFIK, Indian team plays round the year either on national duty or IPL.

Overdose of cricket.

Earlier day's ESPN star sports later star criket was far more better than today's sshd1,2,3,select blah blah not because of they had beautiful graphics mind-blowing technology not the best commentator in the commentary box but the passion the junoon always made the difference. That passion is very much missing now due to over dose of cricket due to availability of lot of option.
