That world cup rights are already with Star India.. Whomsoever is gonna get the next cycle will get the rights for the tournaments starting with ICC T20WC 2024 for the next 7 years may be till the end of 2031 if the current cycle format is followed.

That world cup rights are already with Star India.. Whomsoever is gonna get the next cycle will get the rights for the tournaments starting with ICC T20WC 2024 for the next 7 years may be till the end of 2031 if the current cycle format is followed.

In that case, ICC should ideally delay the rights tender until next year. This will not only cool off IPL burnout but chances are if India perform well in the next year's T20 world cup, that may enhance the bid value to ICC.

Sony is doing same thing like 2009 then they went with hotstar now with APV. This is bad sign. They have resources to purchase digital rights. It's a high point for digital growth rather than linear tv

IPL digital rights with Times Internet, not with Sony from 2008 to 2017. Later Times sold to Hotstar.
