Buddy, the thread is about broadcasting rights auction... Pls don't simply reply something which isn't even related to the thread at all..

Ps. As long as which ever network holds the rights for IPL, they will hold the rights for all related activities including retentions, drafts if any and auctions.. In case if you don't know.

Sony and Viacom seriously needed Any of IPL, BCCI and ICC media Rights. better they should talk with BCCI and ICC arrange all Media Rights auction same year this will definitely put huge pressure on current Media Rights Holder, if Media Rights Auction happening consecutive 2021 to 2023 year so we can easily guess who will going to grab all these Media Rights

IPL and ICC rights are highly monotisable compared to the BCCI rights. However, ICC can yeild disastrous results if India are to be knocked out of the competition early or if some matches are washed out. ICC WC 2019 is an example for that, Star lost 450 crores on that tournament... Only IPL is currently a sureshot success for any broadcaster as long as they don't overpay for those rights...

So, imo Disney's priority is to get IPL first and foremost as there is a lot riding on it... And may be go for ICC rights if budgets permit as there will be a ICC tournaments every year and acquiring other leagues and boards rights to keep audience engaged in off seasons... BCCI rights may loose some value or will be stale this time around. Let's see what exactly is going to be transpired..

This is basic and I, almost everyone knows this as well, I didn't start any off topic, I also did reply to what's being said,
Auctions are for this season and its a fact, no need to rant if you get a fact as a reply
 
Broadcasting rights with star till 2022 than its obvious retention and auction rights also with star
Than why this so much hungama
