Is HD FHD or HD Ready?

Hi,
I have D2H HD STB.
On my FHD TV HD Channels look great at 1080p.

However the question is - Is the original HD transmission in HD Ready 720p or FHD 1080p?
I.e. it's 720p scaled up to 1080 or original 1080 itself?
Does anyone have any idea.

I think the transmission is in 1080i format for HD channels.
