Seeking Help Is it mandatory to upgrade the SetTopBox ?

For few days I was getting some E42 errors and I complained. The service guy came and showed that signal strength is good but stb has to be replaced. Is it true ? Anyways I have upgraded for 699 + 150 service charges. Just want to know if this is correct.

was a HD one even though I never subscribed for any HD packages. After replacement too its HD and I haven't (will never) subscribed for hd
