Nivin Pauly's Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela To Release In February?

Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela, the upcoming Nivin Pauly starrer is one of the most awaited the projects of the year. If things fall in place, Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela will hit the theatres in February 2017.
The movie, which was initially expected to hit the theatres in December, has been postponed due to some unexpected technical issues. The team is expected to announce the actual release date, soon.

Nivin Pauly is also making his second outing as a producer with the movie, which is written and directed by debutante Althaf Salim. Director Althaf is familiar to the audiences, with his brief yet interesting role in Premam.

Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela which is a complete family entertainer revolves around the relationship between the modern youngsters and parents. Lal and Shanthi Krishna essay Nivin's parents in the movie.


Ahaana Krishna, the Njan Steve Lopez fame actress and debutante Aishwarya Lekshmi essay the female leads in the movie. Saiju Kurup, Krishnashankar, Srinda, Siju Wilson, Sharafudheen, etc. play the supporting roles.

Newcomer Mukesh Muralidharan is the director of photography. Bijibal's former associate Justin Varghese composes the songs and background score. The movie is produced by Pauly Jr. Pictures.

Mammootty plays a college lecturer again...

Mammootty's roles as a college lecturer in Snehamulla Simham in 1986 and Mazhayethum Munpe in 1995 still rank among the best in his career so far. After a gap of 22 years Mammootty will be seen again as a college lecturer, in a film directed by Ajai Vasudevan.
The film will be scripted by Udayakrishna, who is on a high currently following the success of his latest venture Pulimurugan. On the Mammootty film, Udayakrishna tells us, "It's set in a campus and Mammootty will play a college lecturer. The movie will be an entertainer and we hope to use Mammukka's superstar image to the maximum, in terms of his mannerisms and style."
Earlier, there was a rumour that Udayakrishna along with Pulimurugan director Vysakh were all set to team up with Mammootty for a movie. However, the scriptwriter denies the rumour. "It is true that we met him on the sets of his movie a few days ago. But the only Mammootty movie I have signed is the one Ajai Vasudevan will be directing," says Udayakrishna, adding that he is yet to start work on the script.
Ajai had previously worked with Mammootty in Rajadhi Raja while Udayakrishna along with Sibi K Thomas had scripted Pokkiri Raja and Thuruppugulan for the actor. The upcoming movie will go on floors only by next year, says the scriptwriter.
Meanwhile, Ajai and Udayakrishna had earlier announced they would team up a movie with Dileep this year. "That film will be delayed as Dileep's schedule is packed till May 2017. We will only start work on it after that," the scriptwriter says.

Pulimurugan & Oppam Rule The US Box Office!

Pulimurugan and Oppam, the Mohanlal movies which hit the theatres recently, have already emerged as the highest Malayalam grossers of 2016. Now, both the films are also ruling the US box office.

According to the latest reports, Pulimurugan, which is directed by Vysakh and Oppam, the Priyadarshan movie, have become the highest grossing Malayalam films of the US box office, this year.

As per the reports from the trade experts, Oppam, which is an out-and-out crime thriller, has made a gross collection of about 93000 Dollars within the first 5 days of its release from the US box office.

Pulimurugan, on the other hand, went on to collect about 81000 Dollars, just within the first 3 days of its release. Thus, the movie broke the collection record set by Oppam, at the US box office.

Earlier, Action Hero Biju was the highest grossing Malayalam movie of US box office this year. But now, it has been pushed down to the third position. The movie has made a total collection of 1.28 Lakh dollars.

Now, Jacobinte Swargarajyam is in the fourth position, with a total gross collection of 1.13 Lakh dollars. Maheshinte Prathikaaram is in the fifth position, by making a total collection of 85000 Dollars.

Had Pulimurugan Failed, Mohanlal Would've Quit Acting ..!

Pulimurugan, the recently released action thriller has emerged as the biggest hit of Mohanlal's career. Shockingly, Mohanlal had decided to quit acting, if the movie fails at the box office.

Director Vysakh revealed about the decision taken by the actor during the shooting, in a recent interview. According to Vysakh, he was planning to end his direction career, if the movie ends up as a flop.

When he revealed his decision to Mohanlal, the actor immediately said that he will also quit acting, if Pulimurugan ends up as a flop. It was a huge shock to the director and he requested the actor to change his decision.

But, Mohanlal explained why he made such a decision, in an interesting way. The actor felt that he will no longer be eligible to be in the industry or call himself an actor, if his judgement about Pulimurugan goes wrong.

Mohanlal's words boosted the confidence of the director and team members, and they decided to work harder for the movie. However, now it has been proven that the actor's judgement was absolutely right.

Now, Pulimurugan has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the industry and broken several box office record. The movie is expected to become the first Malayalam movie to enter the 100-Crore club.

Fahadh Faasil-Namitha Pramod's Role Model Starts Rolling...

Role Model, the much-awaited upcoming movie which stars Fahadh Faasil and Namitha Pramod in the lead roles, started rolling. The pooja ceremony of the movie, directed by Rafi was recently held in Kochi.The movie, which marks the first association of Fahadh Faasil with director Rafi and Namitha Pramod, is said to be an out-and-out comical thriller. Fahadh role in the movie has been kept as a secret.Namitha, on the other hand, is appearing as an adventure water sports trainer named Shreya in the movie. The major portions of the movie will be filmed at the various locations of Goa and Kochi.
Role Model revolves around a group of youngsters who maintain their campus friendship, despite their extremely different lifestyles. The movie is a complete entertainment package, with a touch of suspense.

Movies change dates to avoid clash with Pulimurugan...

Pulimurugan's blockbuster success has made several movies, which were scheduled to be released this week, reconsider. Movies such as Swarnakaduva and Kuttikalund Sookshikuka have been postponed to mid November to avoid clash with the Pulimurugan juggernauth.
The lead actor of Swarnakaduva, Biju Menon, and the director of Kuttikalund Sookshikuka, Kalavoor Ravikumar, acknowledged the success of Pulimurugan on their respective social networking sites and announced that the movies have been shifted to mid November.
Swarnakaduva, directed by Jos Thomas, is a family drama that has Biju Menon playing an opportunistic driver while Kuttikalund Sookshikuka has Anoop Menon and Bhavana in important roles.

Mohanlal's Pulimurugan is continuing its amazing run at the box office. Even after 3 weeks of its release, the film continues to fetch gold from the box office and thereby creating new milestones.

According to certain reports, the film has crossed the 50-Crore mark at the Kerala box office. Pulimurugan has turned out to be the first film to have achieved this landmark.

Dhyan's Ore Mugham to hit theatres in Nov 11...

Dhyan Sreenivasan's upcoming retro campus thriller will release in Kerala theatres on Nov 11, according to reports. Earlier, the movie was supposed to hit theatres on Nov 4 but it seems with Pulimurugan, Anandam and a few other Diwali release still running to packed houses, the team has reconsidered the date.
Ore Mugham is billed as a campus heist thriller set in the 80s. It stars Dhyan, Prayaga Martin, Gayathri Suresh, Aju Varghese and Deepak Parambol. The film will have the actors essaying two phases of life.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Biju Menon's Swarnakaduva and Anoop Menon's Kuttikalund Sookshikuka had also shifted their release dates in order to avoid clash with Pulimurugan.

Mohanlal and Sreenivasan to team up again...?

The hit trio of the 80s could very well team up for next year, if all plans fall in place. Mohanlal, Sreenivasan and director Sathyan Anthikad are currently in discussions for a project.
Reports suggest that the movie will be a political satire, which is scripted by Sreenivasan and directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The trio had teamed up for films such as TP Balagopalan MA, Sanmanassulavarkku Samadhanam and Nadodikattu.
Meanwhile Mohanlal is currently shooting of Major Ravi's 1971: Beyond Borders while Sathyan Anthikad is busy with Jomonte Suvisheshangal.

Ramesh Pisharody's short film on Malayalam is out...

As Kerala turns 60 on November 1, Malayalis all over the world rejoice the special day in all its fervour. Ushering in the spirit, stand-up comedian and actor Ramesh Pisharody recently posted a video on his social networking page, which is produced by him and features Kavya Madhavan, Baby Akshara and Dharmajan Bolgatty.
Whiel Dharmajan is seen essaying the role of a student, Akshara is the teacher and Kavya Madhavan says that we all love Malayalam very much and she pins hope that no one has forgotten the aksharamala. She signs off saying try writing the alphabets once again.
