Pulimurugan Team's Next Is With Jayaram...

Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan has had a phenomenal run at the box office and it has become the biggest blockbuster in the history of Malayalam cinema.

Since the success of the film, rumours were rife regarding the team's next venture. Now, what we hear is that Vysakh and Udaykrishna, the director and writer of Pulimurugan respectively, are all set with their upcoming venture.

If reports are to be believed, their upcoming venture would have actor Jayaram in the lead role. If this happens, it would mark the second association of Vysakh and Jayaram. Both of them have previously worked together in the film Seniors, which was one of the big hits of the year 2011.

Reportedly, the upcoming venture would be produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Gokulam films. The makers are planning to start working on the film by January, next year. No official announcement has been made regarding the same.

Earlier, there were reports that Pulimurugan team would team up with Mammootty, for their next. But, all those reports were dismissed as mere rumours.

Meanwhile, Udaykrishna would be scripting for Mammootty's next film, which would be directed by Rajadhi Raja fame Ajai Vasudev.

Ore Mukham Release Date Pushed Ahead Further...


Upcoming Malayalam film Ore Mukham, which has Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead role, was earlier expected to hit the theatres on November 18, 2016. But, now according to the latest reports, the makers of the film have pushed the release date ahead.
The makers of the film officially confirmed through the film's Facebook page that the movie wouldn't be hitting the theatres on November 18, 2016. Now, they are planning to release the film on Novemeber 24, 2016.

The note ban, which came in to effect from November 9, 2016 onwards has been cited as the reason for postponement of the release. Reportedly, most of the films running presently in the theatres have witnessed a considerable drop in collections, which include Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan.


Ore Mukham has been directed by debutante Sajid Jagadnandan and the movie is expected to be in the lines of a campus thriller. The trailer of the film was released recently, which has considerably increased the expectations on the movie.

Apart from Dhyan Sreenivasan, the film also features actors like Aju Varghese, Prayaga Martin, Renji Panicker, Chemban Vinod Jose, Jewel Mary, Arjun Nandakumar, Hareesh Peradi, Maniyanpilla Raju, Gayathri Suresh etc., in important roles.

Meanwhile, Kattappanayile Hrithik Roshan, the other major release of the month is all set to hit the theatres tomorrow (November 18, 2016).

Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan is an entertainer that serves its purpose. The film's biggest positive is the rollicking first half where the film has loads of humour content. Much like Amar Akbar Anthony, Nadirshah and team have taken the route of addressing some issues with light humour.

The storyline of the film isn't that fresh or different, but the sequences of the film and their presentation would keep you engaged throughout. The best part is the fact that the team hasn't resorted to vulgar comedies to tickle your bones. What you get is pure and unadulterated humour. Importantly, family relationships have been given due importance in the film.

Yes, on the flip side the film has some lagging moments and cliched elements in the second half, but that doesn't affect the overall entertainment factor of the product.

Verdict

If want you want is pure entertainment, your ideal destination would be the theatres playing Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. The film has a lot of moments for laughter and neat entertainment is guaranteed.

Mohanlal next in a Kannada flick...

Mohanlal is again acting in a Kannada film. The 2015 released 'Mythri' was Mohanlal's first Kannada movie.

The movie titled 'Kanneswara' is directed by Naganna. Kannada super star Upendra is another hero. Vedhika is the heroine.

'Kanneswara' will be a commercial entertainer. The movie will go on floors next year in Bengaluru and will be released in Tamil and Telugu too.

Jomonte Suvisheshangal to release on Dec 16...

Dulquer Salmaan's next release will hit theatres on December 16. The movie is titled Jomonte Suvisheshangal and will be the first time that the actor has worked along veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad.
The film, scripted by Iqbal Kuttipuram, is touted to be a family entertainer and has Anupama Parameshwaran and Aishwarya Rajesh as its heroines. The film also has Mukesh playing Dulquer's dad.
Meanwhile, Dulquer is currently shooting for Amal Neerad's untitled movie in Texas,USA, and once he returns he will resume shooting for Bejoy Nambiar's Solo.

Vinay Forrt turns a naive ATM security guard next...

From a radio presenter to a Gandhi impersonator, Vinay Forrt is picking varied roles since the overwhelming success of his character in Premam. For his upcoming project Solomonte Uttamajeevitham, the actor will be seen as a naive ATM security guard.
The film, directed by Aneev Sukumar and scripted by Krishna Poojappura, will traverse the life of Vinay's character. "Vinay plays an ATM guard who is gullible and easily trusting. He is also a gentle soul with a pure heart who sticks to the Bible," says Krishna. "However, one particular incident takes him on a trip and that's what forms the plot."
The scriptwriter also explains that most of the story is set against the backdrop of the high ranges in Kerala. However, the protagonist's journey also takes him to Kochi, Thodupuzha, Kozhikode, Mahe and Ooty, he says.
"The movie is a comic thriller which also has romance. We are finalising the cast for the rest of the film. It will go on floors by January," says Krishna, who had previously scripted films such as Happy Husbands and Angry Babies in Love.

Pulimurugan Box Office: Beats The Record Set By The Jungle Book...

Well, Pulimurugan has had a dream run at the box office, so far. The movie now has most of the box office records under its sleeves and here is one more addition to that list of glory.

The movie continues its amazing run in multiplexes centres in Ernakulam and according to the latest reports, the film has eclipsed the record set by Hollywood movie The Jungle Book in Ernakulam multiplex centres.

Pulimurugan has now become the highest grosser at the Ernakulam multiplexes. Reportedly, the film has surpassed the total collection made by The Jungle Book from Ernakulam multiplexes. The Hollywood movie had grossed 3.74 crores from various multiplexes in Ernakulam.

Pulimurugan, which was released on October 7, 2016, took just 42 days to break the record set by The Jungle Book. The film, earlier broke the record set by Jacobinte Swargarajyam, to become the first Malayalam movie to cross 3 Crores at the Ernakulam multiplexes.

Going at this rate, the film might end up becoming the first movie to cross the 4-Crore mark at Ernakulam multiplex centres. In fact, there was a considerable drop in box office collections owing to the note ban, but the movie is moving ahead steadily now.

Ezra Is Not A Typical Horror Movie: Director Jay K...

Ezra, the upcoming Prithviraj starrer is one of the most-awaited projects of the year. In the recent interview given to a popular entertainment portal, director Jay K opened up about the movie.
According to Jay K, Ezra is not like a typical Malayalam horror film. The director states that it is not a film which is made with just an intention to scare the audiences, but has a powerful story line.

The team is planning to make Ezra an out-and-out engaging experience, which will give equal priority to both the horror and thriller elements. Jay K also confirmed that the movie is trilingual.

Ezra will also be released in Tamil and Telugu languages, soon after the release of Malayalam version. Interestingly, Prithviraj will be dubbing for his part in the Tamil and Telugu versions too.

The movie will also explore the history of Jewish culture in Kerala. If the reports are to be true, Ezra, which is scripted by director Jay K himself, will also depict a very strong love story.

Pulimurugan Box Office: 43 Days Kerala Collections...

Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starring action thriller is all set to complete 50 days at the theatres, soon. Interestingly, Pulimurugan has already emerged as the biggest box office success of Malayalam movie industry.

When it completed the first 43 days of release, the Vysakh-directed movie collected 70.3 Crores from the Kerala box office alone. Pulimurugan has earned more than 33 Crores as share, from the Kerala box office.

Reportedly, The collection from the outside Kerala box office is about 10 Crores. According to the trade analysts, Pulimurugan has made a total collection of more than 28 Crores from the UAE-GCC box offices, together.

The total collections from the UK and USA box offices are about 4 Crores. The movie has also collected 1.5 Crores from New Zealand and Australia, together. Pulimurugan has collected 75 Lakhs from the rest of the overseas market.

So, the worldwide gross collection of Pulimurugan has crossed 115 Crores. The Mohanlal movie has done a pre-release business of about 15 Crores. Thus, the total collection made by the movie till now is about 130 Crores.
