Pulimurugan and Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan, the recently released Malayalam movies will continue in the theatres. The team members confirmed that they have no plans to withdraw from the theatres, through social media platforms.

Earlier, it was reported that the distributors have decided to remove all the recent films from the theatres. But the crew members of Pulimurugan and Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan slammed the rumours, stating that it was a false news.

The team members of the other recent releases, Aanandam and Ore Mukham are yet to reveal the actual theatre status of the movies. But the audiences and media hope that none of the movies will be removed from the theatres.

The authorities also confirmed that the strike will be not applicable to the other language Christmas releases. So, all the Christmas movies, including the Aamir Khan starring Bollywood movie Dangal, will it the theatres as planned.

But sadly, it has been confirmed that none of the highly anticipated Malayalam Christmas movies, including Jomonte Suviseshangal, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Ezra, and Fukri, will hit the theatres anytime soon.

Dileep & Kavya Madhavan Set A New Record...

Dileep and Kavya Madhavan, the highly celebrated onscreen pair entered the wedlock on November 25. Now, the newly wedded couple has scripted a new record in the history of Malayalam cinema.Interestingly, Dileep and Kavya Madhavan are now the real-life couples who has acted together in the maximum number of films, in their career. The actors have shared the screen in more than 20 films in their career.Kavya and Dileep have now broken the record, which was earlier owned by Parvathy and Jayaram. The senior star couple, who recently celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary, have shared the screen in about 15 films.

Dileep and Kavya Madhavan first shared the screen in Lal Jose's Chandranudikkunna Dikkil, which marked the debut of the actress in lead roles. The duo last shared the screen in Adoor Gopalakrishnan's recent movie Pinneyum.


The fans and media have always considered Kavya Madhavan as the lucky co-star of Dileep. Dileep’s Georgettan’s Pooram To Release On January 25...

Well, the year-end-season has definitely turned out to be a disappointing one for all the moviegoers, with none of the movies slated as Christmas releases not making to the theatres due to the strike called by the Producers association.
But, the month of January promises some good movies for the audience. Now, according to the latest reports, Dileep's much awaited movie Georgettan's Pooram has got a release date and the movie would hit the theatres on January 25, 2017.

Earlier, the film was planned as a Christmas release, but the makers pushed ahead the date due to delay in works. Interestingly, the film will be Dileep's first major release after his marriage with actress Kavya Madhavan.

If Georgettan's Pooram hits the theatres on January 25, the film will fight it out Mammootty's The Great Father, which is expected to hit the theatres on January 27, 2017.

Georgettan's Pooram has been directed by Biju Arookutty. The film has its script written by Y V Rajesh. Reportedly, in the film, Dileep would be seen as a lazy youth, who likes to hang out with his gang of friends. Renji Panicker will be seen playing Dileep's father in the movie. The movie also features Chemban Vinod Jose, Sharafudheen, Vinay Fort etc., in important roles.

Pulimurugan Box Office: Beats Janatha Garage...

Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starring action thriller has broken all the possible pre-existing records of Malayalam movie industry. Now, the movie has also surpassed the collection record of Mohanlal's recent Telugu outing, Janatha Garage.
As per the latest reports from the trade analysts, Pulimurugan has beaten Janatha Garage to become the third all-time highest grosser of South Indian movie industry. The detailed collection report is expected to be revealed soon.

It is undoubtedly a huge acheivement for the Malayalam movie industry. The first two positions of the South India's top 10 highest grossers list is graced by Rajnikanth starring Pa Ranjith movie Kabali and Vijay starrer Theri.

Janatha Garage, the Koratala Siva-directed movie had young Telugu actor Jr NTR in the lead role. Mohanlal essayed a pivotal role in the movie, which has emerged as the highest grossing Telugu flick of the year.

Vijay Babu and Parvathy Nambiar play cops in VKP’s film...

Vijay Babu's previous policeman act was as the comical SI Sarbath Shameer in the film Aadu...
This time around, the actor is doing a serious role as a police officer, in VK Prakash's upcoming film Careful. "The story is about a police investigation, following a series of murders. A hint given by a journalist sparks off the story, that's all I can say now," says Vijay Babu. Actress Parvathy Nambiar also plays a police officer in the film, which has a large cast including Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana, Vineeth kumar, Ashokan and Sreejith Ravi. "All the characters are of equal importance and there is no hero and heroine in this film," Vijay Babu adds.

Rajesh Jayaraman who has scripted VKP's digital film Moonamathoral will be the scriptwriter. Says VKP, "Rajesh has scripted films like Achuvinte Amma. I am trying out a genre I have never attempted with this film; it will be an edge-of-the- seat thriller. There is a social element involved in the story, which I can't reveal now. Arvind Sekhar will be composing the music. We will start shooting on January 11, at Kochi."

Pulimurugan leak: Multiplex chain banned from screening Malayalam films...

The Cinepolis chain of multiplex has come under blacklist of Kerala Film Producers and Distributors group after it was reportedly found that the leaked copy of Mohanlal's Pulimurugan originated from a theatre in Pune.
G Suresh Kumar, a senior official from the film producers association of Kerala, tells us, "The anti-piracy cells has found that the copy was leaked from Cinepolis multiplex as WestEnd Mall. Right now the cops are grilling the suspects to find the modus operandi."

We were not able to contact the officials from the theatre group. The decision from the producers now state that they will not be screening Malayalam films in any of the multiplexes owned by Cinepolis across India. The group has one multiplex in Kerala in Ernakulam.
