Prithviraj's Vimanam starts rolling in Kochi.

Its happy news for Prithviraj's fans, as after the release of his film Ezra, he has now started venturing into his next project. It has been reported that the film titled Vimanam revolves around the life of Saji M Thomas, who had built a light weight aircraft!
The latest news about the movie is that the shooting of the film kick started at Kochi.

It is reported that the film will also have Nedumudi Venu, Shanthi Krishna and Sudheer Karamana, among many others in supporting roles.
Vimanam is directed by debutant Pradeep M Nair.

Kunchacko Boban hints releasing Take Off on the 20th anniversary of Aniyathipraavu.

Editor-turned-director Mahesh Narayanan's Take Off has already garnered the attention of fans especially with its stellar star cast of Kunchacko Boban, Parvathy, Fahadh Faasil, Prakash Belawadi and Asif Ali.

With its release eagerly anticipated, Kunchacko now tells us that the release date is yet to be confirmed. "We are planning something big; hopefully release it on the twentieth anniversary of my debut movie Aniyathipraavu. That would be special because Aniyathipraavu was directed by Pachikka (Fazil) and Take Off will be the first movie in which Fahadh and I would be acting together," says Kunchacko Boban.

The movie is produced by Mekha Rajesh under the banner Rajesh Pillai Films and so, Kunchacko who has been a close friend of late director Rajesh Pillai also says that the film will also come out after a year of Rajesh's death. "It's been almost a year and the film will pay tribute to him as well," he says.

Meanwhile, Kunchacko is currently busy with Ramante Edenthottam, which is directed by Ranjith Sankar. The film also has Anu Sithara, Joju George and Aju Varghese.

Ezra Box Office: First Weekend (3 Days) Collections.

After a stupendous start, with the film grossing almost 2.61 Crores on its opening day, Ezra has gone on to fetch big on its first weekend.

Reportedly, the 3 days Kerala collections of Ezra stands at 8.53 Crores. The Saturday and Sunday collections for the movie are nothing less than phenomenal.

According to the reports, Ezra went on to fetch 2.91 Crores on Saturday, which is higher than the first day collections for the movie. The Sunday witnessed a further surge in collections, with the movie raking in 3.01 Crores.

Interestingly, due to the public demand and huge rush that the movie has been witnessing, special shows for the movie were held in many centres in Kerala.

In Kochi multiplexes, Ezra has set some big records, with the movie entering the 50 Lakh club in no time, making it the fastest Malayalam movie to reach the mark.

The weekday collections will be quite crucial for Ezra and going by the good reports pouring in, it looks like the movie will have steady collections on the weekdays, as well.

Ezra, directed by debutant Jay K also features Priya Anand, Tovino Thomas, Sujith Sankar, Vijayaraghavan, Sudev Nair, Babu Antony etc., in important roles.

Manju Warrier replaces Vidya Balan as Madhavikutty in Aami.

Director Kamal seems to have found his Madhavikutty for the biopic on the iconic writer. The filmmaker, who was left in dire straits after Vidya Balan opted out of the movie, announced that he has zeroed in on Manju Warrier in the film.

The director confirmed the actress has been cast and is hoping the film can go on floors by next month. The movie incidentally was scheduled to start shooting by November last year but was pushed owing to Vidya Balan's illness.

On Manju's preparations to play Kamala Das aka Madhavikutty, Kamal said that actress has to put on some weight. The film will feature different stages of the writer's life.

Kamal had also said that the entire cast and crew of the movie, who were previously associated with the film are still onboard. Prithviraj, Anoop Menon and Murali Gopy are also part of the movie.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol: UAE & Europe Release Dates Are Out.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, the Mohanlal movie which hit the theatres in January, has already earned the blockbuster tag at the box office. Now, the Jibu Jacob directed movie is all set to be released in UAE and Europe.

As per the sources close to the project, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol will be widely released in UAE on February 16th, Thursday. The Mohanlal movie will hit the theatres all over Europe, on February 17th, Friday.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, which stars Meena in the female lead, was widely released on about 337 screens all over Kerala and major Indian cities. The family entertainer has still been screened on over 85 screens all over the country.

The Mohanlal starrer made a grand opening at the box office by collecting about 3.09 Crores from the Kerala box office, thus becoming the second Malayalam movie to make the highest initial collection.

According to the trade analysts, Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol has made more than 30 Crores gross collection, from the All India box office. The movie is expected to repeat its grand success in the UAR and Europe box offices as well.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, which is based on VJ James's popular short story Pranayopanishad, is scripted by M Sindhuraj. The movie is produced by Sophia Paul, under the banner Weekend Blockbusters.

Mohanlal & Nivin Pauly To Share The Screen Space.

Mohanlal, the complete actor might share the screen with young crowd puller Nivin Pauly, soon. If the reports are to be believed, Mohanlal and Nivin have been approached to play the lead roles in an upcoming project.According to the rumour mills, the project is produced by KK Rajagopal, who has earlier associated with Mohanlal for the Padmakumar movie Shikkar, in 2010. However, Mohanlal and Nivin have not confirmed the reports yet.It will be really exciting to watch the undisputed king of box office and young crowd puller together onscreen. The rumours regarding the project have been doing rounds on social media, to the much excitement of Mohanlal and Nivin fans.

Jomonte Suvisheshangal Box Office: Enters The 30 Crore Club.

Dulquer Salmaan starrer Jomonte Suvisheshangal, which was the first official big Malayalam release of the year 2017, has emerged as a big hit at the box office.The movie, which graced the theatres on January 19, 2017 has successfully completed 25 days of its run and the box office collections of the movie are fascinating.

Reportedly, Sathyan Anthikkad's Jomonte Suvisheshangal has entered the 30-Crore mark within 26 days of its run (considering the worldwide collections of the movie). The film's collection in middle east and the overseas centres have been impressive.

Previously, Dulquer Salmaan's 2015 release Charlie, had also entered the 30-Crore club at the worldwide box office. Reportedly, the Kerala box office collection of Jomonte Suvisheshangal stands at 19.2 Crores and is expected to cross the 20-Crore mark soon.

Jomonte Suvisheshangal, marked the first association of Sathyan Anthikkad and Dulquer Salmaan. The film, did make a stupendous opening on Day 1 with the film fetching 2.72 Crores on its opening day.

The film, which also features Mukesh in an important role did get some favourable reviews and family audiences lapped up the movie. Jomonte Suvisheshangal is still doing a good business at the theatres.

Fahadh Faasil-Sunny Wayne Movie Gets An Interesting Title.

Earlier, there were reports that Fahadh Faasil and Sunny Wayne are all set to team up once again for an upcoming Malayalam film, which marks the reunion of the actors after the much acclaimed film Annayum Rasoolum.Now, here is an interesting update about this upcoming project. The film has been titled as Aanenkilum Allenkilum. The upcoming movie will be directed by debutant Vivek.

Aanenkilum Allenkilum will be produced by Raju Malliath under the banner Ragam movies. Distribution of the film will be by Century Films.The upcoming film has a whole lot of youngsters in its crew.
