Biju Menon's Swarna Kaduva Gets A Release Date...

Swarna Kaduva, which has Biju Menon in the lead role, has finally got a release date. The film, directed by Jose Thomas, has been in the waiting for quite some time now. Reportedly, the film would hit the theatres on October 28, 2016. Actor Biju Menon took to Facebook to officially confirm the release date of the film.



Earlier, the film was scheduled to release during the month of September. But, the makers had to push forward the dates, owing to the delay in the post-production works and also the flurry of Malayalam film releases.
The film has its script written by Babu Janardhanan. It is after a brief break that the writer is penning a script for another director.

In Swarna Kaduva, Biju Menon would be seen in the role of a person named Rini Iype Maattummel, who works as the driver of a rich man. He character is said to be having some grey shades associated with it.
The film also features actors like Innocent, Iniya, Suresh Krishna, Sudheer Karamana, Poojitha Menon, Hareesh Perumanna etc. In important roles.
Meanwhile, Biju Menon's most recent release Kavi Uddheshichathu..?, which also has Asif Ali and Narain in the lead roles has opened to good responses from the audiences.

Prithviraj Is All Praises For Mohanlal-Priyadarshan's Oppam...

Prithviraj, the young talent of Mollywood, is a huge fan of Mohanlal. Reportedly, Prithviraj is highly impressed with Mohanlal-Priyadarshan duo's recent outing Oppam, and went on to congratulate the duo personally.

According to the close sources, the young actor messaged Priyadarshan immediately after watching Oppam, to convey his viewpoints about the film. Prithviraj is said to be highly impressed with Mohanlal's performance in the movie.
The actor who conveyed his congratulatory message to Priyadarshan, has reportedly praised the director for his exceptional craft and command over the well-written script. He feels that the movie was a perfect comeback for the master director.
Prithviraj, who has always been keen about directing a film, is all set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming Mohanlal starrer, Lucifer. The movie is written by the popular actor-writer Murali Gopy, and produced by Aashirvad Cinema.


The young actor has openly stated his deep desire to direct Mohanlal, in several interviews. Now, Prithviraj is extremely happy that he received a chance to direct his idol, in his debut directorial venture itself.
Lucifer, which is one of the most anticipated projects of 2017, will start rolling by the beginning of May 2017. Prithviraj is reportedly planning to take a short break from acting, to concentrate on his directorial debut.

Dulquer’s 'Oru Bhayankara Kamukan' is an entertainer...

Director Lal Jose had earlier told us that his next film will have Dulquer Salmaan as the hero.
The film has a name now — 'Oru Bhayankara Kamukan' — as the director announced through his social networking page on Vijayadashami day. The story will be by Unni R, who will also be scripting the film, he added.
When contacted, Unni R confirmed that he will indeed be scripting the film, and that it will be unlike Leela, Ozhivudivasathe Kali and Charlie. "It will be a full-on entertainer, a commercial film. We will start the shoot around February-March next year. The rest of the cast and crew has not been decided yet."
Unni R's short stories have often been made into films, like in the case of Leela. However, for this movie, Unni R will be scripting a new story, like with Charlie. "I have started writing and am halfway through the script. We just decided to announce the title as it was Vijayadashami Day," he says.
Lal Jose has earlier worked with Dulquer in Vikramadityan. The actor is currently working on Sathyan Anthikad's 'Jomonte Suvisheshangal'.

Dileep to be trained in pickpocketing for his next film...

Dileep has never shied away from immersing himself in a role for a movie — be it as a hunchback in Kunjikoonan or an effeminate character in 'Chanthupottu'.
His upcoming movies, Professor Dinkan and Pickpocket, will see him undergo training in magic tricks and sleight of hand techniques, respectively.
While the actor has already had a few lessons in magic under the tutelage of magician Gopinath Muthukad for Professor Dinkan, the team of Pickpocket has roped in the services of renowned US-based comedy pickpocket entertainer Bob Arno.
The movie's director P Balachandrakumar tells us, "Bob Arno is an international street crime researcher and is known as the world's fastest-fingered pickpocket. He stages scenes for entertainment. When we told him about our script, he agreed to be part of the film and offered to train Dileep, who plays a pickpocket named Prakash Raj."
The filmmaker, who had previously directed the Asif Ali-starrer Cowboy, says that Tamil actor Motta Rajendran has been cast as Dileep's sidekick in the movie. On the rest of the cast, he says, "We are yet to zero in on an actress. We are also looking for a foreigner to play the villain in the movie."
The film, which is scheduled to go on floors in 2017, will be shot extensively in Tamil Nadu. "The story evolves in Coimbatore and Chennai, and we will also can a few scenes in Kochi and a foreign location," Balachandrakumar says.
Dileep is expected to start work on Pickpocket only after he finishes shooting for his upcoming movies including Biju Arookkutty's Georgettan's Pooram and Rathish Ambat's Kammarasambhavam.

'Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol' shoot wrapped up...

The shooting of the movie 'Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol' directed by Jibu Jacob has wrapped up. Mohanlal does the lead role.

The movie narrates the story of Ulahannan, a Government officer and the Panchayat Secretary, played by Mohanlal. Meena is the heroine.

Anoop Menon does a prominent role. Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Suresh Krishna, Srinda, Alansiar, Kalabhavan Shajon, Sudheer Karamana, Sohan Seenulal, Leshoy, Sharaffudheen, Rahul Madhav, Aima Sebastian, Bindu Panicker, and Veena Nair also play significant roles.

The script is written by M Sindhuraj. M Jayachandran and Bijibal are the music directors. 'Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol' is produced by Sophia Paul under the banner Weekend Blockbusters.

Fahadh Faasil To Join Mohan Raja Project Soon...

Fahadh Faasil, the super-talented young actor, is all set to foray into Tamil movie industry, soon. Reports suggest that Fahadh is all set to join the sets of his Tamil debut project, soon. The movie directed by Thani Oruvan fame Mohan Raja will start rolling on November 11, 2016. Producer RD Raja announced the news and confirmed Fahadh's association with the project, through his official Twitter page, recently.
If the reports are to be true, Fahadh Faasil is essaying the main antagonist in the untitled project, which stars popular Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. Nayantara is playing the female lead in the movie.
Earlier, veteran film-maker Mani Ratnam had approached Fahadh Faasil to essay the lead role in his popular film, OK Kanmani. But, Fahadh turned down the offer as he was confident enough about his Tamil language skills.


He was also considered for Gautham Menon's Malayalam debut, which was later shelved. The actor later went on to sign the Mohan Raja project, as he is highly impressed with the screenplay and his character in the movie.
Fahadh Faasil has reportedly completed the filming for the upcoming Anil Radhakrishna Menon project. He has also committed the upcoming Marthandan-directed movie and Anwar Rasheed's directorial comeback project.

Please don't share Pulimurugan action clips, says Vysakh...

Director of Pulimurakan, Vysakh is unhappy with the way Malayalis are sharing the action scenes of the film on Whatsapp and other messaging apps. The director has requested that viewers refrain from sharing the clip, as they were made with a lot of effort and money.
"We trekked through forests and hills for miles often to complete each day's shoot. Everyone had just one dream in common - Pulimurukan. It's indeed painful when the most crucial clips are being shared online. Please enjoy the film only in theatres," he wrote in his facebook page.

SHOCKING! Dileep Backs Out From Sathya Sai Baba Biopic...

Dileep, the janapriyanayakan was supposed to make his Telugu debut, with the highly anticipated Sathya Sai Baba biopic. It was reported that Dileep is playing the title character Sathya Sai Baba in the movie.But, as per the latest updates, the actor has backed out from the project, directed by popular film-maker Kodi Ramakrishna. Reportedly, Dileep backed out from the project, as it demanded a 150 days call sheet. The actor is extremely busy with his Malayalam commitments and cannot allot a 150 days call sheet for a single project, at this point of his career. Reportedly, Dileep wants to concentrate only in Mollywood.

Interestingly, the team has replaced Dileep with another Malayali actor, Rathinirvedam fame Sreejith Vijay. The young actor, who highly excited about the offer, confirmed the news in a recent interview.


Reportedly, the movie will also have popular actress Anushka Shetty, in a pivotal role. Senior actors Sharath Babu and Jaraprada will essay the roles of Sathya Sai Baba's parents, in the movie.Dileep, on the other hand, is currently busy with the filming of his upcoming flick, Georgettan's Pooram. He has recently finished the first schedule of the upcoming Rathish Ambat movie, Kammara Sambhavam.

Mammootty and Mohanlal to clash this X’mas too...

The big M's of Mollywood - Mohanlal and Mammootty - went head to head this Navarathi with the former coming out on top, in terms of box office numbers. Mohanlal's Pulimurugan has gone on to break several records in the box office leaving Mammootty's Thoppil Joppan far behind.
However, it seems that round 2 of the fight this year is already scheduled for Christmas. Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol and Mammootty's The Great Father are rumoured to hit theatres on Dec 23.
Mohanlal's film is a family entertainer, helmed by Jibu Jacob, while Mammootty's is a thriller cum drama directed by debutant Haneef Adeni.

Sreenivasan is the new addition in Honey Bee 2...

Asif Ali's sequel to the hit film Honey Bee was first announced 25 days after the 2013 film was released. Now, after three years, the movie is set to go on floors and has all the cast members returning along with a few new additions.
Sreenivasan is the latest cast member to be added to the film, which will be directed by Jean Paul Lal. Asif, Bhavana, Balu Varghese, Lal and Baburaj are part of the cast.
On why the movie took so long to go on floors, Asif says, "This time we didn't want to make a film about 'boozing and abusing'. It had to have a great script and that's precisely why it took this long. We are excited about working in the film. It's about a wedding."
