Nivin Pauly celebrates his birthday...

Malayali audience's very own Nivin Pauly, who had topped the charts of popularity since his smashing hit Premam, celebrates his birthday on October 11. And a birthday wish from his co-star, actress Anupama Parameswaran was inevitable, as she took to her social networking page to wish the actor a happy birthday and posted, "With lots of love and prayers.... May God bless u with even more beautiful days nivinchetta.... (sic)."
Gayathri Suresh too sent across her best wishes by posting, "Happy Birthday to one of the most down to earth and fun to be with Nivin chetta.... �� �� You are always a Boy Next Door to us �� �� (sic)."

Dulquer Salmaan’s next titled "Oru Bhayangara Kamukan"...

Duqluer Salmaan's movie with director Lal Jose has got a titled - Oru Bhayangara Kamukan. The movie, which is scripted by Unni R, is touted to be an entertainer and is expected to go on floors by next year.
Reports suggest that the movie will be shot in several parts of Kerala and also in North India. The actor had teamed up with Lal Jose earlier for Vikramadityan and with Unni R for Charlie, which on the State Award for Best Actor this year.
Meanwhile, Dulquer is currently busy with Sathyan Anthikad's movie Jomonte Suvisheshangal and will start shooting for Bejoy Nambiar's Mollywood debut next.

Govind Padmasoorya to make his Tamil debut...!

Govind Padmasoorya, who was last seen in Pretham, is all set to make his Tamil debut with a Jiiva starrer. The actor took to his social networking site to share the news.
"Friends, on this auspicious day I am happy to share that I am making my Tamil debut as anti-hero in the film 'Kee' directed by Kalees starring Jiiva, Nikki, RJ Balaji, Suhasini. Thank you so much for your never-ending support and love. Be with me always! Wish you all a divine Vijayadasami!" he posted.
GP, as he is popularly known, was last seen in Pretham that had him sharing screen space with Jayasurya, Sharafudheen and Aju Varghese.

Vinay Forrt's Gandhi avatar...!!

Vinay Forrt has an interesting character to play in his film God Say.
He plays someone caleld Harishchandran who hosts a show Gandhimargam in Akashavani. The programme, based on Gandhian ethics and values, influences Harischandran deeply. A picture that the actor released recently shows him as Gandhi, complete with glasses and a white shawl. Apparently, the film is also being screened at the International film festival of Kerala,IFFK. The proud actor posted the news himself.
"The IFFK has always been something close to heart. There has been nothing more of a purely cinematic experience than being part of this ceremony and I am proud to say that I have been an active participant every year. So, i would like to take this opportunity to proudly announce that three movies of which I have been a part of are being showcased at this years IFFK and adding to everything, one of those films, Sherrey & Shyju Govindan's God Say has been selected even before its theatrical release. 'Jemini' post production works in progress...

The shooting of 'Jemini' is complete and the post production works are in progress. Baby Esther plays the title role in the film.

'Jemini' scripted by Binu Purushothaman is directed by P K Baburaj. Renji Panicker, Sejoy Varghese, Kishore Satya, Sethulkashmi, and Thanusree Ghosh play the other main roles.

'Jemini' is produced by Roopesh Lal under the banner of Richies Cinema. Shan Rehman is the music director and Manoj Pillai is the cinematographer.

Praveen Gopinathan's 'God' filmed as 'Kaudilyan'...

Well known writer Praveen P Gopinath's English book 'God' is being filmed. The movie is titled 'Koudilyan'. The film is written and directed by famous producer Sadanandan Rangorath.

This is Sadanandan Rangorath's debut directorial venture. He has produced movies like 'Salt n Pepper' and 'Nidra'.

The movie narrates the story of a person who makes money using his Intelligence and skill; hence the title 'Koudilyan' - Making Money is An Art, I am An Artist.

'God' is the 9th book of Praveen P Gopinath who has written 10 books in English and Malayalam - 4 Malayalam and 6 English books; many of them are bestsellers.

The dialogues are written by Praveen Gopinath. The hero is not finalized. 'Koudilyan' is produced under the banner of Centre Focus Media.

The first look poster of 'Koudilyan' is unveiled. The camera is handled by T D Sreenivas. The lyrics by Harinarayanan are tuned by Deepak Dev.

'Poomaram' goes on floors...

Abrid Shine directorial 'Poomaram' goes on floors. The movie was officially launched at a function held at Maharajas College, Ernakulam.

This is the debut Malayalam movie of Kalidas Jayaram. 'Poomaram' is a campus film and many new faces will be part of the cast.

New faces who are in the age group 18-25 and have great patience are invited for audition. The story and script are written by Abrid Shine himself.

Prem Prakash-Bobby-Sanjay next movie to be directed by K K Rajeev...

Prem Prakash has gifted a number of good films to the industry under the banner Prakash Movietone. Prem Prakash is going to produce another movie which will be directed by K K Rajeev.

The script is penned by the hit duo Bobby and Sanjay. The dialogues are written by C Krishnan. The movie plots a story of mother-son relationship.

Jayaram To Star In The Remake Of Appa...

Well, actor Jayaram is careful about selecting new projects nowadays and it seems like his wise decision has paid off. Some exciting projects are on the way for the actor, which would indeed challenge the actor in him.One such project is the Malayalam remake of critically acclaimed Tamil film Appa. Jayaram would do the lead role in the film, which was originally done by Samuthirakani in the Tamil version.

Appa, directed by Samuthirakani, had the director himself playing the lead role in it. The film emphasized on the importance of the role of a father in the upbringing of a child. Appa, won wide critical acclaim.
The Malayalam remake of the film would also have Asha Sarath in a prominent role. Pulimurugan Box Office: Breaks Charlie's Record...!

Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starrer is all set to become the biggest box office hit of 2016. Now, Pulimurugan has made yet another achievement, when it is about to complete the first week of release. Interestingly, the movie broke the collection record of Dulquer Salmaan starrer Charlie, by becoming the fastest Malayalam film to cross 50 Lakhs gross collection from the Ernakulam multiplexes.
Charlie had made a collection of 54 Lakhs from the Ernakulam multiplexes, within the first 4 days of its release. But, Pulimurugan managed to make 57 Lakhs, when it completed 4 days at the centres.
The Mohanlal movie made more than 15 Lakhs on its releasing day, from the Ernakulam multiplexes. Later, it collected an average of 14 Lakhs on the second, third, and fourth days of its release.


Pulimurugan had a grand opening at the box office by collecting 4.5 Crores on its release day. Thus, the movie broke the record of Kasaba and become the Malayalam film with the highest initial collection.
Later, Pulimurugan went on to surpass the records set by Mohanlal's Oppam, by becoming the fastest Malayalam movie to cross the 10-Crore and 20-Crore mark at the Kerala box office.
