Recent Airtel strategy

Airtel become so much unpredictable these days... What they are trying to do??? At first Adtv & Zee deal news came into light even they also published in website aboit It but nothing happend.

Since last year, They didn't added bulk channel to their platform but these time they added 27 no channels at one shot and that was on sunday which is against their tradition.

inspite of Shortage of Space, they added 3 HD channel though did not added Popular HD like Espn HD or Zee Cafe HD.

they added few channel to base packs(neo channel in Eco sports pack) but didn't yet increased their price which is very much agaisnt their tradition.

After 2 days of adding 27 nos. of channel all become FTA again.

What next... we are waiting!

N they may add more HD Channels like ESPN HD, Zee Cafe HD

They introduced this channel in hurry and then all become free to air to all pack.... Then removed half of them at once!!! What going on guys..??

now nfl superbowl is on sony espn and we have no HD feed.....hope they add it by 8th morning

The things that I understood after this scenario are that first these channels were added to compensate the removal of Zee channels as on their official page it was written that a appropriate replacement channel would be added in place of removing Zee channels in particular packages but at last the deal finally worked out so no Zee channels were removed,if somehow the Zee channels had been got removed so Airtel would have faced hard time as many people might have ditched it so rather than taking risk they added additional channels before hand
When the deal happened,they knew that lots of channels have been added which weren't even necessary for the audience and they had almost filled up the TP space with these not so necessary additions and on other side ADTV also knows that they will not be getting TP's from SES 9 before September October so they need to have space till that time as they have to add MTV HD,ESPN HD,Ten 3,maybe SS5 HD and Ten 2 HD till that time,so removal was necessary,and once before also they have removed channels like Filmy,enter 10 etc to add SMS HD,so they removed such kind of channels again,it's good that they removed these channels,because we need many more important HD channels to get added

but the question is the removed channel is still on tp. so chances are high to comeback of those channel. and lastly do u believe Airtel will Add any HD channel in place of those removed channel? I don't think so.
