Here people are unaware about stb replacement and mpeg4 migration. Once leading Bengali channels like Star Jalsha, 24 Ghanta, ABP Ananda and Sangeet Bangla etc is moved to mpeg4, the real chaos will start.

When I discussed with my local dealer, he said no info about migration with him!

But Cc is taking replacements requests from ROI users as well.

You cannot simply start migration all over india at the same time as it is mammoth task replacing 6 million STB spread all over India. So they have chosen region wise. First south then ROI.

They are not stupid. They will first inform customers then replace STB only then Channel migration of ROI. So it will gonna take time(1 year).

Agree. But the rate at which they have progressed with migration in the 4 southern states (quite a massive area) in just couple of months gives us hope that maybe that 1 year time frame is just playing safe on TS side. We can expect migration to be completed much before 1 year. They may not tackle full ROI at one go, preferring to go region wise. Let's wait and see. But yes, if TP space becomes available, it will not prevent TS from adding new mpeg4 ROI or general channels even before completion of migration.
