Sony needs to relook immediately at content strategy for Sony Max, having just dubbed cinema won't work well in terms of revenue. All these films already available online on Goldmines Telefilms YouTube channel for free and even aired on Dhinchaak. Even Goldmines Telefilms head has been quoted saying that he cannot say how long Dhinchaak will remain on air as viewers move to OTT.
Other broadcasters still r somewhat better as many bollywood films are available on pay ott platforms rather than for free and Sony has very few such films in library. Sony should get more post 2000 films onboard their library and schedule on wah and max.
Still a probability that Max 2 or to certain extent wah can work well with current strategy bcoz old films r viewed by elder people who r not quite tech friendly while max2 costs less too and Wah can work as internet still not steady or available in good speed in rural areas so mix of bollywood and dubbed films can work well on it
