81 KU band transponders.... what else needed...Future is safe. Airtel can think of adding many 4k and HD channels,Airtel dth wont have any space problem.

The case is different for both airtel and sun direct. 2G scam,maxis,Ananda Krishnan and so are linked up with sun direct...even the Astro and measat have some way linked to all the ongoing trouble and thats why they dont get any regulatory clearance. Current political situation is also a set back for them.
But for Airtel,There wont be any such problems.

SES 7 Launch date: 16-May-2009 and it expires only after 15 years and there is plenty of time for expiry. 22(+5 spare) Ku-band, 10(+3 spare) S(X)-band transponders are available in the same. So future is very good for Airtel DTH.

The future of Airtel DTH is awesome, the main reason is the SES9 has 81 Ku-band tps. So no space problem in the years to come.

Don't u think that Sun will sue ISRO for not giving clearance if ISRO give clearance to Airtel ? I have serious doubt as all transponders are allocated by ISRO. So ISRO cannot give benefit to certain private company while not allocating TP some other. It will be termed as unfair business by ISRO as both of these companese are paying same amount of money per tps :s

Boys...Dont take the discursion to measat,sun direct or reliance.This one is about SES9 and its all about airtel and no ther indian dth operator except airtel wont get any benefit.
SWhen it comes to reliance and sun direct....the problem is Measat and it is already in a scam.That may be the reason. And we already know all the issues.
Here this thread is about 81 ku transponder by SES9 and I hope it will certainly boost the performance of airtel.
