Zee needs international players support to stay in game....zee should think about comcast-zee merger
Comcast is in deal with tv18 . Zee can compete alone. And get some help from sun. It doesn't require international players or market

Comcast is in deal? Are you freaking know what you're talking about. TV18 has rights to use the brand CNBC in india. It's much like TataSky where we all know SKY is owned by Comcast but it use the license to use sky branding in india. SAME is it for CNBC.

I have been wondering why Zee is dragged too much into this thread. ZEE Entertainment is predominantly strong in regional space, and it had carved out space of its own in this genre. It's also strong in Hindi Movies genre. The ramifications of this merger could be for Zee in Hindi GEC space for which I don't think sun or any other network could come for help. Zee and Star have to reinvent themselves to stay relevent against a network that has three well established GECs

I think after that merger there will be good news for customers now we would get both colors channels and Sony chanels in one bouquets rather than 2 bouquets, saving cost for consumers.
I Think Just Because Of The Merger, Sony Is Shutting Down 5 Happy India Packs From 1st August. So I Think Merger Will Be Announced By/On 1st August
