So airtel will be dropping channels that are not part of Bouquets and will add which are part of the bouquets... We will get vh1 HD and all pending channels for sure.

They will take a call on this after verdict is out in Tata Sky vs TRAI case. If 15% max bouquet discount cap comes into effect then operators like airtel won't have to worry about such things. Still be what might be important channels will be added under new regime. All HD channels from Star, Indiacast have strong chance of addition in January itself. Exit of Jeet HD will further create space

Effects of new TRAI rules ;) slowly but surely channels with lower viewership either will be forced to go free to air or closed their transmission because of low subscription/viewership.

Sony Mix is SD feed from SPN to compete with 9XM & other SD channels.

Sony mix airs both old and new content hence can't be slotted in any classification. B4U also more or less doing same.

Mastii is dedicating 80% airtime to old songs , same with 9X Jalwa hence these r primarily retro channels while 9XM and MTV Beats primarily target those below 25 hence new songs form their content pattern.

Zoom, ETC, Music India, Wow r all marginal players. MTV and Zing focus on youth reality or fiction shows.

I think Sony Mix will try to get more share in evergreen songs market while Rox will have a more new age appeal airing only latest or last 5 or 6 year old songs
