I hope they have not squeezed the picture and audio quality too

funfact: hd boxes before 2018 era (before panna box) still provide better quality than any new HD box, in fact almost equivalent to binge+ or hd+ box.. I feel over time in order to reduce cost of new acquisition they have heavily compromised on the hardware quality.

they removed Dolby starting from navya boxes .. it's official now new HD boxes won't carry Dolby tag

New boxes are coming only with Irdeto system. Also like other DTH Airtel Digital TV is also reporting loss in their income statements from past few years

First they changed the software, and now the hardware is being made compact

I only hope that the quality is remained intact and not compromised

I heard from the Tata Play technicians, that new boxes have issues including the binge box. They say it is often slow in response and the software has lag issues frequently.

Look at losses reported by Airtel in last few fiscal years vs those of others.. U will see that Airtel is seeing its losses being reduced but for others it is widening, all this despite massive challenges faced in DTH Industry landscape
