Breaking Tata Sky will provide new Tariff Plans - Discussions (TRAI Tariff Order w.e.f 1st Feb 2019)

Don't know how some of u r looking at TRAI Order in a -ve way, so many good channels will now be available Free To Air, Pay Channel Bouquet prices r also largely economical and will be reduced further in coming months based on market feedback, A-La-Carte rates which were earlier multiple times than what it is in regime is also great thing + TRAI will surely fight to reinstate max 15% discount on bouquet price rule which will again see downward trend in these.

Above all we are getting power to choose, no need to pay for unnecessary channels or same channel in both SD and HD, useless channels will shut down bcoz of low viewwrship. Even if we have to pay little bit more for pay channels still it's a nice thing as we will quality content rather than repetitive things on multiple channels forced on us at present, remember earlier these broadcasters used to get advances payment running into thousands of crores from various operators hence they took us for granted but now they will be on their toes to give the best for ramping up subscription on a daily basis

@dino29 bro, members here are not complaining about the channel MRP. Its just that Rs 130 NCF is the issue. IF NCF was charged per channel basis like Rs 1.3 per channel, it would have been better.

Why should a person watching less than 100 SD channels pay NCF for 100 SD channels ??? Also DD mandatory channels should not be counted in 100 SD channels

People want more like 50 channels for 75 rs instead of 100 channels for 154 and also no compulsory DD channels

Wait a little bro. TRAI has already said that Rs.130/100 channels is the maximum/minimum ceiling set for price and number of FTA channels respectively. Operator is free to charge less for these 100 channels, provide more than 100 FTA channels at this or lower cost.

As per present guidelines providing less than 100 Free To Air channels in first slab or basic pack is not allowed, may be later TRAI will give the option to operators for having multiple smaller slabs for this. Customer Feedback will surely make them bring this flexibility.

First of all we should have patience for few months till things get settled and later on all our concerns, issues will be looked into on a regular basis and changes be brought accordingly

Well brother this primary NCF slab is sort of a monthly fixed rental like we pay for mobile or landline plans, Rs. 80 is for MSO in this and Rs. 50 for LCO. Yes, as i have said smaller slabs should be added but interest of every stakeholder is also of prime importance.

Regarding ur 2nd point, well i think most of the operators will give DD, Religious and Shopping Channels to all subscribers and we will have power to choose 75 or maybe even 100 Free To Air channels in addition to this in first slab. Those channels paying carriage fee have to reach all audience hence operators won't keep it in these slabs where we get option to discard them. As i have said things will be clear by March, April

unless NCF is reduced to half there is nothing for the consumers or the last hope is that if less subscribers choose expensive channels so they will lower price to make it affordable to most consumers
