Hello! I have two TataSky Boxes connected to single/same dish.

One of the TataSky Box is getting the signal and channel fine.

But other box is not getting any channel and says "Weather or Cloudy" issue.

I did the re-connection (removing and then reconnecting the wires) but it doesn't help. What could be the issue?

Thanks.

How is the two connections connected via same dish?

I mean via multi port LNB or splitter? If its via splitter, do check splitter might have gone bad.

I think multiple set top boxes can be connected to same dish right?

Dish have multiple slots.

Yes, but dish gives signals back to box only via LNB. So i wanted to know how it is connected to know the cause of trouble.

This is generally achieved using two ways.

If that LNB has single port then we can use splitter which separates the signal into two/four/eight ways and we can run multiple boxes.

Otherwise, dual/quard port LNB which doesn't need any extra splitter kind device as it has separate ports to connect each wire directly from the dish.

Now you need to clear in what way your both connections are connected into single dish.

Mine has been connected via splitter.

Please Post Dish LNB Images It'll Help Us To Identify Issues!

  1. See whether you have a dual/twin-output LNB
  2. Swap the cable connections to the LNB
  3. Check whether this moves the problem from one STB to other
  4. If yes, then it is either a faulty LNB or a cabling issue
  5. If no, then the STB is faulty

Hi TS users,
I’m living in Colombo,Srilanka.
I’m using TS,using 90cms dish.
During the night time, difficult to get the signal.Though unable to view many channels.
Is there any solution to this?
Is there any TS users in Srilanka, who are facing same problems?
