what an explanation!! EVERYTHING CLEARED! :win:
Really ?
Since when Cable operation or Franchise business became forced business ?
In reality it is the consumer who is forced to pay ₹150+ even when a consumer wants to see just 10 channels !
TRAI propagated Pay for what you want to watch but reality is totally opposite.
"According to industry estimates, about Rs 25,000 crore is collected as a network capacity fee (NCF) per month."
Just to get fixed and healthy GST to herself and minimum assured income to cable/DTH industry TRAI imposed this mess on everybody.

The same day when samosa SALE became cable/dth SERVICE.

I still wonder why you replied this quoting a unrelated post while i gave that example. Also i clearly mentioned its hypothetical based on your statement. I repeat again that it makes no sense comparing a sale with a service.

Worst trai rules.
Before trai implemented in tv sector, I got all telugu channels for just ₹150 .if I add one more ₹100 , I got all HD channel's.

The concept of ncf is a blunder mistake.
Before TRAI , cable bills are ₹100-150.
Now cable bills are ₹300-500. So worst.

GST is also very high 18%. This should be in 1% to 4%.

Final opinion:-
1) remove NCF concept.
2) GST should decrease below 4%.

those who were paying less than 200/m, their new plans increased,
BUT those who used to pay more than 500/m, their new packs became CHEAPER!

I used to pay 490/month in DishTV in 2017, but since april 2018, I'm paying around 300/m (English, Sports, Infotainment)

I paid just ₹ 175 in my airtel dth secondary connection. I got all HD channel's in that pack.
My primary connection is ₹99+ ₹57( for regional add on)
So for 2 connection s before TRAI is
156 +175

you can add any channels (single/bouquet) with SUN Curated packs, and they won't charge extra NCF for that extra channels UNLESS you want to watch more than 200 channels.
200 channels?? I am talking about current rule, not in future i.e. march 2020. And if you see few curated packs, the channel count is well above 200 already. Hw much additional channel they allow without extra NCF in current rule.

As you all know, Indian goes by Jugaad (makeshifts) in every aspect and hence rules breakers are more smarter than rules makers. So no doubt they will find some way to go by it but we also will go smartly and same way, we will also find our ways to play with them. So just wait first their new rates and till then guys just chill!!!
That's the reason that they didn't reduce the NCF, instead raised the channel count ( who needs?)

TRAI serves for corporate needs, Jio have Hathway, Den & GTPL and Airtel have Airtel digital and Dish & D2H in future. So, never expect reduction in NCF at anytime, they required ARPU Rs.150+ always. Now broadcaster have bother, service providers are in secure.
