(b) the maximum retail price per month of any a-la-carte pay channel, forming part of
such a bouquet, shall in no case exceed three times the average maximum retail
price per month of a pay channel of that bouquet:
Explanation: For the purpose of this order if the maximum retail price of a bouquet is
Rs. ‘X’ per month per subscriber and there are ‘Y’ number of pay channels in that

bouquet, then the average maximum retail price per month of a pay channel of the
bouquet shall be Rs. ‘X’ divided by ‘Y’.”

Average retail price =8÷4=2
=2×3=6
These condition also against trai new rule
It's following both the conditions.
1. Sum of a-la-carte isn't exceeding 1.5 times the bouquet price. 8*1.5=12, whereas the a-la-carte sum is only 11.
2. Average channel MRP inside the bouquet is 2 and 3*2=6. 6 is the maximum MRP inside the bouquet.

Please understand the rule correctly. TRAI prescribed only the maximum discount that can be given on a bouquet.

If the sum of a-la-carte MRP is ₹11, as per the rule they can price the bouquet at any value between ₹7.3-11. Even if it is priced at ₹10 it will still fall within the rules. (However it has to abide by other rule as well)

Please don't confuse the maximum allowable discount as the exact mandatory discount.

Exactly because the main motive of NTO 1.0 as well as NTO 2.0 is to allow the customer what he wants by selecting channels on ala Carte basis.
Earlier in NTO 1.0 broadcasters were offering a discount as per their wish so that they could push Unwanted channels to customer. Now after seeing this for a year, TRAI thought of fine tuning of NTO 2.0 with maximum cap of 33% on broadcasters bouquets..... Now broadcasters can allow any discount in the range of 1% to 33%.

There is no regulation on regional channels here.

Correct bro, but TRAI rule says consumer able to select that 200 channel's(FTA+PAID). But DPOs not allowed, this was the big mistake, all consumers suffering regarding this, all are paid unwatchable channels, waste of money.
