Where do you see that order ? link plz

"It was further proposed that distributors of television channels would charge a monthly rental amount of maximum Rs. 130/- (excluding taxes) per month from a subscriber for subscribing a network capacity of 100 SD channels. Distributors would be permitted to form their own bouquets by including only a-la-carte pay channels of different broadcasters. It was also proposed that within the capacity of 100 SD channels, in addition to channels mandatorily provided to subscribers as notified by the Central Government, a subscriber would be free to choose any free-to-air channel, pay channel, premium channel or bouquet of channels offered by the broadcasters or bouquet of channels offered by the distributor of television channels."

Free to air means dd channel and some other less channel only there. So, they will provide all regional FTA channel otherwise, only dd channel I think

Our fears Regarding new tariff order to be implemented from 29th Dec 2018

1. False : we need to pay 130rs+GST for Basic pack
Truth : In the TRAI order it is given that MRP 130rs i.e. maximum price not the minimum from this we can infer that Basic pack less than or equal to 130rs it may be 100rs or 80rs or less varies from each distributor so don't worry about 130rs it will be less for most of the distributors (Refer Point no. 81 Page 47)
2. False : We get only FTA channels for first 100 channels
Truth : First 100 channels would be free to choose any free-to-air channel, pay channel, premium channel or bouquet of channels offered by the broadcasters or bouquet of channels offered by the distributor of television channels (Refer Point no. 50 Page 34)

Provided that if a subscriber opts for pay channels or premium channels or bouquet of pay channels, he shall be liable to pay retail price for such channels or bouquets separately. (Page11, Point 7)

Please any one give a conclusion.

If dths or cable tv s officially announce packages we will get the clear picture but they are not doing
We're free to choose what we want and that's the key motive behind this tarrif order, even if operators declare their packs, it won't be mandatory to subscribe them.

Altough, broadcasters, taking advantage of the stay on 15% cap, have designed bouquets which may contain channels out of our interests.
