New Trai Rules are Beneficial for Any broadcaster. Zeel Sony Star Colours Turner Discovery
Small channel groups like Travel xp and Epic tv will be affected but ultimately it would benefit for them.
More channels you have it gain a chance to bring more money from bouquet .

No broadcaster will be in loss as it is now fair game with accurate figures of subscription, only those operator who do not reduce their rates with lesser response for channels they are giving. For star network stakes are high as they have purchased cricket TV rights at very high price of more than Rs6000 crores Star Sports India bags BCCI media rights for Rs 6138.1 crore - Times of India
All broadcasters will be loss in New regime till settles with accurate subscribers bcoz of big advertisers not willing give ads to pay channels.

Star
Sony
Zee
Sun
Viacomm , everyone looses with these prices

I'm not counting small broadcasters, they will become FTA soon. But for me it is clear, ZEEL will be the biggest loser, they dont have sports channels. Though sports channels are expensive proposition but they also attract lots of subscription revenue. Their music genre is also not appealing. Zee news and Zee Business is reasonably priced. Except ZEE tv, all other channels are very difficult to sell. My view point is based on hindi speaking market.

Big guys like Star/Sony/Zee will make money and a lot of money but small will suffer because Big guys will force bouquet so customer will spend most their budget on them so nothing will be left for small broadcasters

Small Broadcasters turns FTA in a few months!

Eventhough Star's many channels are highly priced, their 'Value pack' has perfect composition comparatively. 4 Sports channels, Entertainment channels and Infotainment.it will gain some subscribers. For example People who is planned to select atleast one entertainment channel and a Sports channel from Star has to be pay almost same cost of valuepack. So obviously they will get diverted to Value pack.Thats why they are promoting that pack much.

Star alone will take 50, then Sony/Zee/sun/tv18 or their combination will cost 50 along with NCF 150. So average arpu 250 reached with big guys alone. So no money left for small network's pay chs. Hard days ahead for small guys unless they turn to fta like ABP group did recently
