Big loss of NDTV Network by implementation of Trai rule as they converted into pay channel last year and also giving wrong news on their website and channels. It may be shut down after 1 feb as they are not getting sponsors also.

Star alone will take 50, then Sony/Zee/sun/tv18 or their combination will cost 50 along with NCF 150. So average arpu 250 reached with big guys alone. So no money left for small network's pay chs. Hard days ahead for small guys unless they turn to fta like ABP group did recently
Even though Discovery, times, Disney etc charges small amount, But after purchasing Star, Zee,Sony etc people's pocket becomes empty and they will try to save that small amount.Otherwise people should be ready to sacrifice Serials and Sports. Those networks which only have infotainment, kids channels will have to suffer. National Geographic gets a free hit that it is inserted in all Star packs so that it will be available in most houses, at the same time Discovery only gets activated if people demand for it.

Cricket/live will be available on DD if Government passes ordinance for mandatory sharing in cable and DTH

It's not that easy as you think, as Star/Sony are a foreign company so if you try to loot them they will hit back to you through their Govt with stiff tariff war on Indian made products or FDI.

Govt is already underfire over sudden ecommerce rule change which will affect amazon and Flipkart/Wallmart's indian business

Cricket is religion so no chance of sacrificing even if this require piracy

What do you mean by false news? They have cult following and great online presence.
