Discussion Why does this rainbow with a striped circle shows before programmes/advertisements???

This always happens in India, Sri Lanka or Tamil channels. Before a programme/advertisement starts, it will show a rainbow background with a striped circle zooming in and out. But other channels like DD Shillong or DD Assam, the striped circle freezes, it does not zoom in or out. It almost seems like a childhood mystery. It's filler to represent as break is over now program will start. As, most of channel using this don't have timer to represent that.

I think this now outdated concept. Now all channels having their own graphics that's why this is not in use. Atleast now days I never seen this types on rainbows on any marathi channel, what's in other language channels i don't know.

Yeah, even DD Shillong doesn't show this anymore.

I was about to say that. South Indian TV channels still show this graphic. Especially Sri Lanka. Does this graphic show on other countries like Singapore, Malaysia, etc.?
