Multi-System Operators (MSOs) GTPL KCBPL and Fastway have been encouraging customers to go digital and pay online amid the lockdown around the country. The cable operators have been promoting the same since last month.
GTPL KCBPL is urging customers to pay their monthly rental from home at GTPL KCBPL website which was upgraded last year after TRAI had showcaused it over the non-compliance of various provisions of the New Regulatory Framework for Broadcasting and Cable TV Services. GTPL KCBPL customers can pay with Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, Wallet and UPI.
Fastway on the other hand is also asking its customers to go digital and pay online to their cable operators. It has urged its customers to help its cable operators to help the customers. Fastway users can call 9217092170 for more details.
Last month, MCOF had asked its customers to use online methods to keep their cable connections active. MCOF had requested customers to stand by their respective Cable Operators as a mark of solidarity by using any online method of convenience to pay their Cable Operators or speak to the Cable Operator and exercise their best option.
This is great. I wonder how TRAI has not issued a notice to Hathway Cable too since it has been openly flouting rules and norms. No availability of online payment, cannot choose, change, or modify channel packs online, etc. There should be an easy way for the public to reach TRAi for such issues.
You can reach out to TRAI officials through their official mail IDs. Though they may not respond, they check all the mails. I had earlier sent in a comment for a Consultation Paper through personal Gmail ID which was later listed on their website. Mass complaints from Hathway users will lead to a notice.
