MIB issues satellite TV channel licenses to Tribe Plus, Lokshahi Marathi, and 2 other channels

Kalyani Solvex and Zora Trader get a fresh TV license each while Splus Media got 2 fresh TV licenses in recent months.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) in the past few months granted fresh satellite TV channel licenses to Zora Traders Limited, Kalyani Solvex Private Limited, and Splus Media Limited paving the way for Tribe Plus, Lokshahi Marathi, Sangaman TV, and News Tamil 24*7 Meiporul Kanbathu Arivu in its permitted satellite TV channels repository.

Zora Traders Limited has been granted ‘Lokshahi Marathi’ TV license in the ‘News and Current Affairs’ category. The license has permission for uplinking and downlinking. It will operate from the Indian satellite GSAT-17.

Kallyani Solvex Private Limited has been granted ‘Tribe Plus’ TV license in the ‘Non-News and Current Affairs’ category. The license has permission for uplinking and downlinking. The license can be used to broadcast in English, Hindi, and all Indian scheduled language. It will operate from the Indian satellite GSAT-30.

Kalyani Solvex Private Limited had earlier in 2021 bagged ‘Tribe TV‘ TV license in the ‘News and Current Affairs’ category.

Apart from this, Splus Media Limited bagged two TV licenses namely ‘Sangaman TV’ and ‘News Tamil 24*7 Meiporul Kanbathu Arivu‘ in the ‘News and Current Affairs’ category. The licenses have uplinking and downlinking permission. It will operate from foreign satellite Intelsat-17. The company has permission to broadcast in Tamil using these two TV licenses.
