Genre-wise, GEC and movies viewership grew by 2% and 19% respectively throughout the day.
The viewership reached the highest level in week 13 (March 28th to 3rd April) after that it started to drop.
Daily average time spent per viewer dropped by 11% and the number of channels watched by an individual in a week also reduced by 13%.
Overall television viewership dropped by 6% from 1.24 trillion minutes in week 15 to 1.16 trillion minutes in week 16.
Nearly half of India is now watching TV daily as compared to 32 percent earlier.
Although growth in movie channels is seen throughout the country however in the Southern regions, it has not been much significant.
