Tata Sky set to rejig English Entertainment genre LCN cometh 2nd September

Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky is all set to rejig the LCNs of its English Entertainment genre channels cometh 2nd September which will see the LCNs of 10 English Entertainment channels change along with that of Hindi News channel Aaj Tak Tez. The sequence of placement of English Entertainment channels among the genre will remain the same but it will open up space for Tata Sky to rearrange Hindi Movies LCN placement which has been crunched due to the increase in the number of channels.

Tata Sky will be rejigging the LCN of following 11 channels effective 00:00 hours on 2nd September. Star World HD, Star World, Star World Premiere HD, Zee Cafe HD, Zee Cafe, Colors Infinity HD, Colors Infinity, Comedy Central HD, Comedy Central, Disney International HD, and Aaj Tak Tez channel numbers will be bumped up.

Aaj Tak Tez is getting a better LCN behind TV9 Bharatvarsh and will be jumping over 4 Hindi News channels behind which it is placed currently on LCN 590. Tata Sky had last year suggested TRAI to do away with the one-year lock in period since it was facing space crunch in the EPG for many genres where the number of channels has increased.

Star World HD will move from LCN 204 to LCN 202, Star World will move from LCN 206 to LCN 203, Star World Premiere HD will move from LCN 208 to LCN 206, Zee Cafe HD will move from LCN 218 to LCN 210, Zee Cafe will move from LCN 220 to LCN 211, Colors Infinity HD will move from LCN 224 to LCN 214, Colors Infinity will move from LCN 226 to LCN 215, Comedy Central HD will move from LCN 229 to LCN 218, Comedy Central will move from LCN 230 to LCN 219, Disney International HD will move from LCN 232 to LCN 221, and Aaj Tak Tez will move from LCN 590 to LCN 525.
