TDSAT extends interim arrangement between GTPL and 2 Andhra LCOs until 11th June
GTPL filed its claim for outstanding dues after the LCOs in last hearing raised questions on GTPL’s claim for dues.

The Telecom Disputes and Settlement Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on Thursday extended the interim protection provided to Vaji Communications and Vizianagar Citi Communications after they paid up the invoice for the month of April 2020 to GTPL Hathway.
GTPL filed its claim for outstanding dues after the LCOs in last hearing raised questions on GTPL’s claim for dues. TDSAT said that if the matter was not amicably resolved then the other side should file its reply.

The tribunal noted that it was clear that there was no clear understanding or formal agreement between the parties with respect to terms and conditions for supply of signals by the respondent.
The tribunal was told that GTPL had invited the LCOs to meet it at Ahmedabad on 7th June 2020 to discuss the matter. The Andhra LCOs wanted interim protection extended till the matter is head again.
TDSAT noting that 11th June would be a convenient date of hearing extended interim protection upto then clarifying that the LCOs had to pay the invoice for May 2020 as well as the arrangement. The invoiced amount has to be paid on account within the time as per the last practice.
