The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on Monday said that it would start taking care of the pending matters in which haves dates have been dislocated while extending the restricted functioning of the tribunal up to 23rd May.

The tribunal said that it has to take care of pendency and the interest of justice as well. It has allowed new filings from 23rd May either through the electronic method or as per usual rules i.e hard copies. The video conferencing will continue so long found useful.

Matters pertaining to 2019 and 2020 that have had their dates dislocated, will be listed for the gradual hearing with the counsels in such cases requested to file their mobile numbers and email IDs by 23rd May for hearing of such matters.

The move came after the lockdown due to COVID-19 had been substantially relaxed to encourage all necessary activities and ensure income to the workers and self-employed.
