ZEEL shuts down ZEE ETC Bollywood

Zee Entertainment today shuttered the linear transmission of Zee ETC Bollywood in line with the intimation made last month regarding the discontinuation of Zee ETC Bollywood and subsequent launch of Marathi Music channel Zee Vajwa which launches today.

The channel has ceased transmission at midnight with Tata Sky dropping the channel already from the platform while Airtel Digital TV and Dish D2H are showing a blank screen.

ZEEL had last month on 10th September intimated the shutdown of ZEE ETC Bollywood and launch of Zee Vajwa. The shutdown was initially to happen on 10th October 2020 which was pushed back to 17th October 2020 by ZEEL which notified RIO (MRP) DTH Version 4/2020 on 16th September 2020.

The shutdown will leave Zing as the lone channel in ZEEL’s Hindi Music channel offerings. The launch of Zee Vajwa will however keep ZEEL’s overall Music channel count unchanged at 2.

Zee ETC Bollywood was a Bollywood trade channel which catered  to all the viewers, distributors, producers, exhibitors, actors, music companies as a one stop shop for all the happenings in the Bollywood Fraternity.
