Yes all features of dvr including vod u can avail. Only constraint is that u can record the same channel u r watching. Meaning as this is si gle wire arrangement u can not change the channel while recording.

Hi Shiwesh

Any tutorial available to record using menu options. I tried but failed. Appreciate your help!!!

No tutorials as such. But use guide button. Select the program, u will go to record or reminder option. Use that. I have tried once such option but as such i use recording remote so dont remember all options of this case. U need to try. At least if not current then future programs from epg guide u must be able to record.

Means if I missed Comedy nights at 10 pm and switch on my tv at 10.30 pm, then I can rewind the show to first which was showing at 10 pm ?

I do recording on dvr & it's takes approximately 500 MB for one hour video in HD
On HD box with the new topup, typical 40 mins of recording of Sony HD channel takes 63% of 4 GB drive, hence more than 2.4GB almost...
Do you select any file format or compression??
others pl share ur exp too...
any way thanks a lot to the thread starter for this lovely disclosure..

1. for this point i have to check.
2. for "review buffer depth", Example you have specified 1 hour
--> this one will record running channel for LAST one hour(in this feuture you can rewind your current watching channel for 1second to 1hour back if you are watching running channel for last 1hour)
Note: once you change channel buffer will clear immediately
3. For "start record extension" Example you have specified 5 minute
--> this one for the feuture program recording, suppose program start at 9:00AM so dth will start recording at 8:55AM
4. For "stop record extension", Example you have specified 20 minute
--> this one for the feuture program recording, suppose program end at 10:00AM so dth will stop recording at 10:20AM
