Don't think there is anything to worry on the same though some members r more worried that now they will not have option to criticise Airtel Digital TV that too mostly done for no actual reason or for small things long drawn negative comments r made while when it comes to Tata Play same members downplay the criticism even if someone raises such points.

Now such members r extremely worried that they won't get opportunity to highlight how great Tata Play is when comparing to Airtel Digital TV while i have been saying since long time that Airtel is having great strategy in DTH as well as their other businesses which helps them adapt very well as per constantly evolving landscape / requirements in respective segments.. .anyways now it is for all to see how Tata Play is loosing subscriber base + seeing decline in revenue + widening of losses thus now Airtel is well placed to acquire Tata Play and expand its bundled offerings to a more larger subscriber base thus catering to all customers in best possible manner

DTH business will be outdated one. That's why Tata Play is showing interest to exit. Only Airtel Digital TV and DD freedish in North India and Sun Direct in South India will exist.

Buddy do u know there r still many homes where Pay TV or even DD Free Dish connections are not there? Also there is huge scope to attract Free TV users to Pay TV ecosystem.....so OTT + Broadband customers will grow but Linear TV still has massive potential to grow + bundled offering will see more adoption that simply people discontinuing their Cable or DTH connections

Tata Play subscribers using Tata Play for its STB UI, customer care service, Best Remote controller, Fair business policy, channel count... etc. If Airtel digital tv buy Tata Play, definitely maximum number of subscribers will move out.

On all of these parameters Airtel too scores very well hence has been able to increase its user base in challengin/difficult scenarios...u r entirely wrong in saying that subscribers will move out if Airtel buys Tata Play infact u will see massive improvements on all fronts

Airtel added DTH numbers due to black bundle plans with mobile, OTT addons and mostly from airfiber broadband bundle@699/-.

Airtel Digital TV 's hardwares like STB(especially Dolby Audio) , dish, lnb are good, nothing more than that. After buying Tata Play, if Airtel change Tata Play STB's UI, LCN, Remote controller, Favorite channel settings definitely most subscribers will move out, I will be also one of them.

I feel Tata must find like minded companies to invest in TP instead who may be interested.

Why ? Because it's not very easy to start a business in DTH industry and be market leader.

Again apart from dedicated favorite LCN missing on Airtel i believe User Interface, Remote Control of Airtel Digital TV is also lot better than Tata Play boxes which have come out in last 5 years....LCN Realignment will happen soon and same has been pending bcoz of valid reasons as discussed before too
