If happens then it going to change many interpretations and perceptions But they way DTH/Cable operators are presenting everything is just opposite of this news article. Another major point no one talking about is very high price of all popular entertainment & sports channels if selected A la Carte then whether it remains under ₹130+18% till 100 channels or not ?

DTHs will provide option to select the 75 channels, but not likely to give an NCF option below 130. All will keep base NCF at 130 and ask us to pick 100 channels.

That's ok for FTA channels it's already available we all are known on it

But what abt alacarte or boquet price for those 75(if no FTA channels means) channels in NCF pack who going to pay for that

TRAI PRESS RELEASE DTD 10-01-2019 in Base Pack Consumer can Pick FTA/Ala carte/pay channels up to100 channels for Base Pack Fee. Consumer have freedom to choose their base pack by clubbing FTA/Ala karte/Bouquet/Pay Channels within limit of 100 channels for Rs.130+Tax. Enjoy Friends.

It won't, we need to pay the channel price separately if we select pay channels. I'm not sure why this is not clear! 130+18% is NCF, all they are saying is DTH/Cable companies can't force any channels upon you (Except DD of course) and it's your choice to select them.

Yes that is totally confusing.
then why these AL-carte price for individual channels?
customers pay 130+GST for their liked 75 SD (36 HD) channels and addition 25 channels (12 HD) for 20 Rs more according to that article.
why any customer pay 20 Rs for single channel through Al-Carte??

Guys, there is no confusion in what TRAI said today. They are only talking about your choice in the NCF you pay. DPOs can't push any channels down your throat in the basic pack of 100 channels, except DD channels. So, basically you can choose anything, but if you choose pay channels pay extra for them depending on their MRP.

If i select 25 DD channels and another 37 HD channels in base pack(total 100 channels) how much should i pay?
