Discussion Fix PQ Issues on Airtel Xstream box due to HDR

please check xstream box display resolution, is it in auto? , if so try to make it fixed to 3840x2160p and observe

Hi Mahesh, i checked its same issue. I have to reboot once or twice to make it normal. Sometimes it wont display dolby audio - dd+ and sound wont be there so have to reboot. Whenever it shows all 3 aspect ratio, resolution, dolby on the hdmi1 tv details then all will be fine. Strange

2) do you have home theatre (HT) between xstrema --> TV ?

3) did your TV supports Dolby?

4) which HDMI port on your tv ARC HDMI port?

5) try with 3840x2150p

6) what is your sound option auto or never use souround sound ?

Im having HT Sony G700 soundbar which is connected to TV on hdmi 3 ARC port. Xtream is connected to hdmi 1 of TV Sony X9000H. Both HT and TV i bought it recently in October. Newly launched 2000 models. TV supports latest audio formats. Sound option in xtream box is set to auto.
I will try with 3840x2150p resolution and let you know.

Let us debug step by step:
1) Make sure your TV and HT is latest firmware
2) reset all your equipments to factory defaults

3) connect xstream to HDMI 2 ( HDMI 2 version port) of TV , generally HDMI 1 of TV will be MHL port


By the waywhich version of xstream firmware you are running ?

2) reset all your equipments to factory defaults

3) connect xstream to HDMI 2 ( HDMI 2 version port) of TV , generally HDMI 1 of TV will be MHL port


By the waywhich version of xstream firmware you are running ?

TV and HT firmware is already updated to latest.
I tried connecting to hdmi 2 but still same issue.
Airtel xtream box firmware is 2.2.3-20072116

I hope you already factory resetted all your three devices after firmware upgrade.

In my brother case it resolved the issue.

Have you play any 4k movie directly using USB on your Sony tv ?

Any way call Airtel and Sony support once

Yes i did factory reset. Today i got update on the TV. Will tey to factory reset on the tv and check. I calles airtel , they came and checked and told its all ok and its normal. Is it a issue with my box or it common issue?

My brother has 4k tv and we had the same brightness/contrast issue up on fist time connecting xstream issue,
we did factory rest of all three devices issue got resolved.

it my borother setup home theatre (HT) is between xstrema --> HT ---> TV
resetting HT worked .

But in your case xstrema --> TV and soundbar is ARC , so it could be xstrema or TV,
but we are not seeing any issue with xstrema.

By the way, what is systme Diagnostics --> HDMI display in your xsteam ?
