Discussion Fix PQ Issues on Airtel Xstream box due to HDR

Already shared both the images on twitter and escalated to Nodal desk as well. Even I have shared them this thread's link.
Till date no update from airtel.

Their engineer is constantly claiming that my TV has issue and their box is fine. Also, he says he installed Xstream box to one Mi TV user where he encountered no PQ issues.
Can anybody with Mi TV confirm whether this issue is persistent across all Mi TVs or not?

I am using same Mi Tv ,Last week i became victim for xstream box bought new one without seeing the reviews because of features, but later found same issue what you have mentioned, after trying multiple options i fed up and raised complaints and technicians not even trying to understand the issue and simply blaming the tv, i raised complaint and called them multiple time but no luck and they are not ready to provide HD box also instead of xstream

Raise this matter to the nodal escalation level and you will get a call from RM.

Update :

Got a call from airtel Nodal desk. He confirmed there is a compatibility issue with Xstream box and non-HDR TVs like Mi TV.

He says the fix will be available soon.

I urge everyone who is facing this issue to put pressure on airtel team so that they resolve this issue on priority and also ask for a normal HD set top box until the Xstream box issue is resolved by them.

We haven't paid 4000 bucks to watch black picture afterall.

Write to dthnodal.<state_code>@airtel.com

e.g. state_code for Delhi is DL, West Bengal is WB etc.

PS :They confirmed that there is an issue with non-HDR TVs with Xstream box.
Hence, they provided me a secondary HD HEVC box at a discounted price along with one month extension.

Alternatively, they had also offered to downgrade the Xstream box to HD box with price difference being credited to a/c balance.

HELLO EVERYONE,
I am facing same issue after upgrading to Xtream bix...previously i used HD box.. I am using iffalcon 55 inch 4K UHD TV...picture quality has become worse and totally worthless after upgrading to xstream box. Please help with my TV settings. Thank you
 
I am not facing this type of issue.pic quality is awesome.only facing the booting issue.sometime it takes more than 2 minutes to boot
