Airtel is testing  time shift recordings / network recording feature in which users can record a show on airtel's server and play it through on demand enabled STB. No transponder space will be wasted for this purpose. It's through Internet only.

NPVR topups and other features were created on Airtel website. But not yet released to public.

Also they should enable watching recorded shows even if the respective channel is not active. But it's highly unlikely.

Unlikely. As the stream will be encrypted and requires a topup to view.
