Box not required. They just need to change the app interface...
Separate live tv from catch up:
1. In live tv, nav to reqd channel list for live tv, switch to channel, now playing channel: remove play pause bar from centre, add auto hideing nav bar at top containing channel list by category and language and quality selection , and use left-right arrow buttons for prev-next channels, up-down buttons for volume..
2. In catch up section, same unterface as mobile app minus live tv, with youtube type nav.

Maybe something like this.. Then it'll be enough..
