Only HDR feature disable...
Pq improvement..

Well here are my initial observations.
1) Picture quality now resembles normal HD box, I mean the over brightness was not there as it was earlier.
2) When the STB starts and the initial home screen loads, it still shows HDR on top right corner of TV which means HDR is ON
3) The TV picture mode still shows only HDR picture modes and not normal TV picture modes. This is same as it was before update. But brightness etc were dull than before update.
4) Just played Avengers Endgame and it seems 5.1 sound is playing. I could hear music from my rear speakers but not voice. Haven't checked this for TV channels. Will check later.
5) No manual option under sound settings.

Any1 has info if airtel provides free smart stick to its select broadband, dth or postpaid subscribers ? I expected them to have similar offer to what tata sky provides for binge stick

Guys after long 2 weeks, the airtel social media team called me after discussing with their technical team. What they told me is that they disabled the hdr feature to improve the picture quality and it wont come back as of now. They told me after this update customers are happy for the picture quality and also told me that if I want to get back the manual mode for surround sound they will force roll back my firmware from their side. So basically they wont give these features back until everybody complain about this issue. Also I asked them if thats what you are saying now its a case of cheating by giving false ads about features like hdr on their website for xstream box. They are not accepting their mistakes. Guys please I request everybody to file complaint against these issues on twitter.(@airtel_presence). I am thinking of rolling back to the previous version as I need HDR back. Because I changed to this box for all the audio formats and hdr specifically and now they. Removed everything.

Good news....
The problem with xstream box adding to google home is now fixed, i successfully added xstream box to google home and it work's well with google nest speaker and google assistant on phone. But Netflix commands are not working ( launching Netflix titles by voice command). I've been reporting google home compatibility of airtel xstream box since last year with airtel team and I'm glad that they finally fixed this.

There is a default camera app in xtreme box, i think it would work. BTW, i also installed Zoom and it's working fine.

Are you using zoom through webcam with mice
