General Discussion about Airtel Xstream Devices

Today, sometime back, while browsing through Hotstar app on my Airtel Xstream stb, I found the HDR icon/logo for some titles for which it was HDR was not found after recent update (Ver 2.2.3). When I played them, the TV is detecting HDR and HDR logo is appearing on top right corner of my LG TV 55SM9000 and accordingly HDR picture modes are selected. When I click back on remote, it's coming out of HDR picture modes and is back to normal picture modes. This happened for Avengers : Endgame, Togo.

Also, I checked Amazon Prime app also. For Jack Ryan too, the same thing happened. HDR mode enabled while the series is playing only.

Also on Netflix for Lost in Space too.

Was there any change to firmware or anything happened today. Did anyone notice it on their TVs too.

I have a problem. I got my Xstream box installed on Sep 6 with 7 days free pack but it's still going on and my balance is 1 rupees so should I be concerned about this.

Most people in India also don't know that, to watch 3D movies, we don't need any 3D screen/monitor or 3D TV & almost full 3D experience can be enjoyed on just about any device...

l too didnt know till today. l am dreaming not buying 4K tv but get 3D tv till today. You mean l only need 3d gogle & any regular LED or CRT tv only..

I bought a samsung active 3d (need to put battery in the eyewear)tv in 2012, which worked till last year... Less than 0.01% time it was used to watch 3d content.
When you see it in the Store, with someone else or you read about it you have high desire to own 1, but once you have it, you maynot use it much for 3d...
But 4k tv, bro you will never regret buying one...

u can only get subscription of airtel xstream app which has erosnow, hungama originals etc.

There is a default camera app in xtreme box, i think it would work. BTW, i also installed Zoom and it's working fine.

I have just tried today. I plugged Lapcam web camera. But the xstream box not detecting it. When I accessed camera app, there is no 'open' option. Also tried to install USB camera app from playstore, but none listed in search. I think camera is not compatible in xstream box. It may come in software update as Google duo is now officially available in android TV
