Star Gold Select will definitely be discontinued, One of its licence might be used for Star Gold 2 HD. Also other one likely to be converted to UTV Action HD as dubbed hollywood movies r getting great response and giving good revenue to concerned stakeholders.

Don't want Star Sports 3 HD, infact want some current ones also taken off air, they just do not air required content. Baby TV programs can be mixed with Disney Junior but surely Disney will not let kids genre get less attention bcoz its their stronghold. Star Bharat HD, Fox Life HD should also be stopped and Zee needs to axe And TV HD

Turner needs major makeover or partner with some big player here to again cement front position, they have not been able to catch up with changing landscape in Indian media world.

Discovery is again not having much to offer right now, its flagship channel is somewhat doing well but Science,,Turbo, Dsport, Kids, Tamil all r hardly having decent audience base. It needs to revamp and bring in interesting content and promote/package/distribute it properly. I believe we will see changes if they merge with Viacom-CBS-Sony entity in future.

Also i feel English GEC/Movie HD channels r not matching up to expectations thus not putting resources to good use, if at all operators face bandwidth crunch i would happily suggest removal of these if things remain as it is right now.

My favourite movies Home Alone and Home Alone 2 have stopped airing on Star Movies since last September.

It's back today out of nowhere on Star Movies. Unfortunately I watched it with other means today.

Revamping? Because they did the same with Star Pravah at the week of it's revamping.

I think in future there will be a Star Sports North East. ISL has been airing for free on North East Live. Now Indian Boxing League will also air on Prag News. There is a huge possibility of Star Sports expansion to North East. Although the market is small. You will find avid sports watcher. If they convert Star Sports Bangla to Star Sports Bangla and North East with additional audio feed. It will do really great.

If we observe, we can see that Star has retarded launching more sports channels. SS1 Marathi isn't properly distributed and SS1 Malayalam is delaying much. I think they are going to close the book.

Their kids network is a complete mess. Same shows running on multiple channels or moved around, false advertising, schedules that change every week and they've given up on Marvel HQ without much effort. Hardly anything new of Marvel was launched after rebranding from Disney XD and the non Marvel shows have been shifted to their other channels. It looks like Marvel HQ is now on life support.

Its been 9 months and a restructuring is becoming inevitable for the Disney Star merged entity.
In television Hindi Movies, English, Kids genre should be re arranged and revamp required channels.
Call back History TV and ESPN.
History TV and FYI should join hands with NGC under Star.
Kids - Disney, Disney Jr and Marvel HQ - English Kids channels with multi audio feeds.
Disney's Hungama - Dedicated Hindi kids channel. Launch one for Tamil. For rest languages audio feeds are enough.
Axe any one of UTV action and UTV Movies.
Unite Fox Star Studios, UTV motion pictures, Walt Disney pictures India.
South Business is doing well (don't touch it).

You both Brothers have just stolen the Same Words from My mouth.

As You have suggested it's High time for Star / Disney / UTV to look & think deeper into the Channel Branding / Introduction of more Content Driven Program for the Good sake of Subscribers.

Star / UTV should & asap rebrand their Hindi as well as English Movie Cluster which are becoming Outdated & annoying in every terms.

Some of My Colleagues (not present in DDF ) have suggested various Channel Rebranding according to their Choices. They are :-

•Movies OK to Star Gold 2
•Star World Premiere HD to Star Gold 2 HD
•Star Utsav Movies to Star Gold Classics
•Baby TV HD to Disney Kids HD (with Marvel HQ + Disney Junior Content)
•Fox Life to FX (Relaunch)
•Fox Life HD to FX HD (Relaunch)
•Star Movies Select HD to Nat Geo Music HD (Relaunch)
•Disney International HD to Disney HD (with Disney Channel content)
•Bindass to Star Bindass (Content from Old Star Plus+Star One)
•Marvel HQ to Star or/ UTV Music
•Disney Junior to Star or/ UTV Music HD

At present I think there is no Need to keep Movie Channel Name in particular Genre Name like Action / Comedy / Romance as it used to infringe the Network to that particular Genre and thus limit the Channel Library.
So by this way Star/Disney can easily rename & Rebrand :-
•UTV Action to UTV Hollywood
•UTV HD to UTV Hollywood HD
•UTV Movies can be keep as it is.

Particular Regional Sports Channels should stop Transmission and •Star Sports 3 can be Re Branded with Multi Language Feed.
Same theory goes to •Nat Geo Regional Channels also.

But these are all Suggestions & Assumptions from Subscribers / Audiences Point of View and We all know that it will not observe any Day Light in Near Future.
