Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) organiser Mashal Sports has agreed to auction the tourney’s media rights at a base price of ₹900 crore for five years, after its 12 team owners and current broadcast rights holder Star India failed to agree on a right price and revenue sharing formula.
Mashal Sports, which is 74% owned by Star India, will release the tender document to interested bidders on February 25. The e-auction will take place on April 6.

Interesting article on what future beholds though i feel tv channels will remain relevant for atleast 5 or 6 yrs. Popular ones will continue even longer. Also reinvent or exit is what will happen
Film, music channels likely to take content digital as viewers move online

I hope AXN is back with new owners taking over and relaunching it here too or atleast all its shows should b back on air specially non fiction ones

Some days back we were discussing that hindi movie channels should have standard starting time for movies rather than irregular slots ( though i feel it is not possible as diff films have varying length and time gap between films cannot be wasted by fillers). Today onwards Sony Max has started showing films at standard 6 am, 9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm slots
